Bloom Nutrition makes a bunch of beverages and supplements, from greens powders to pre workouts. And while we aren’t here to tell you what works best—we’ll leave that to nutritionists—we can tell you what tastes good. It’s what we do. You can even yell at us about being stupid and wrong and we’ll sit here and take it—that’s how professional we are! And, okay, don’t freak out, but if you’re here to find out the best Bloom flavor in terms of their greens powder, we HAVE tried a few. Of the ones we tasted, Coconut was our favorite flavor. We’ll update this ranking with ALL the Bloom greens powder flavors in the future. In the meantime, we tried two varieties of Bloom beverages: Bloom Sparkling Energy and Bloom Pop, the brand’s brand new prebiotic soda. Here are our honest opinions about the best Bloom flavors.

Best Bloom Sparkling Energy, Ranked

Bloom Sparkling Energy is made with apple cider vinegar and prebiotic fiber, and its caffeine (180 mg per can) comes from green coffee bean extract. It’s zero sugar and it’s sweetened with sucralose instead of aspartame, if that’s a selling point.

bloom raspberry lemon energy drink review

Bloom!

Bloom Sparkling Energy Raspberry Lemon

Bloom’s energy drinks are very, VERY sweet. They’re best when that saccharine sweetness teams up with a convincing, well-defined fruit flavor, and that’s what kind of ruined this particular Bloom flavor for me. It has a flavor that’s very hard to nail down, but I can tell you it doesn’t really taste like raspberry or lemon. A little more citrusy tang might have been nice.

bloom peach mango

Bloom!

Bloom Sparkling Energy Peach Mango

This Bloom Energy flavor absolutely wallops you with peach flavor. It’s a punch-you-in-the-face sort of peachiness, which I suppose some people probably like, but it’s not for me. Plus, it completely overpowers any mango in the mix. There’s a lot of faux sweetener on the finish and it settles on your palate and really lingers.

bloom watermelon strawberry energy drink review

Bloom!

Bloom Sparkling Energy Strawberry Watermelon

You know those strawberry candies that come in wrappers that look like little strawberries? That’s what this Bloom Energy flavor tastes like, if those candies were sweetened with sucralose instead of sugar, of course. You can’t really escape the sucralose, but this flavor is punchy enough that I could (almost) overlook it.

bloom juicy orange review

Bloom!

Bloom Sparkling Energy Juicy Orange

We have a tendency to like orange-flavored energy drinks (Celsius Sparkling Orange, for instance), and I really think it has to have something to do with the way orange flavor blends with the alternative sweeteners. In my opinion, this is the best Bloom flavor in the energy realm because it tastes like diet orange soda, and that’s not a bad thing!

Best Bloom Pop, Ranked

Bloom is getting in on that prebiotic soda action with new Bloom Pop. It’s a prebiotic soda that’s caffeine free and contains very little sugar (3 or 4 grams, depending on the flavor), has only 20 cals a can, and “supports gut health.” It’s sweetened with sugar and stevia leaf extract.

bloom pop raspberry lemonade

Bloom!

Raspberry Lemonade

This Bloom Pop flavor is better than its sparkling energy counterpart—it actually tastes like raspberry lemonade. Raspberry lemonade that isn’t quite tangy enough and is much too sweet, but still. The sparkle is nice.

bloom pop classic orange review

Bloom!

Classic Orange

This was ALMOST my favorite Bloom Pop flavor. It tastes a lot like the Juicy Orange energy drink—like very, very sweet diet orange soda, but there’s a slightly weird flavor. All of these have the lingering flavor of stevia, which I don’t love, but it’s par for the course with prebiotic sodas.

bloom pop shirley temple review

Bloom!

Bloom Pop Shirley Temple

Holy miss moly this is sweet. It’s like a red cherry soda rather than a Shirley Temple since there isn’t really any lemon-lime soda flavor of which to speak, but it is still the best Bloom flavor of the bunch.

About the Author

Gwynedd Stuart

Howdy! I’m Gwynedd, Sporked’s managing editor. I live in Los Angeles and have access to the best tacos the U.S. has to offer—but I’m a sucker for a crunchy Old El Paso taco night every now and then. I’ve been at Sporked since 2022 and I’m still searching frozen mozzarella sticks that can hold a candle to restaurant sticks. Why you should trust me: I’ve been a journalist for 20 years (yikes), a consumer of food for 40-plus years, and I’m truly hard pressed to think of foods I don’t like (or that I can’t tolerate at the very least). Oh and one time I cooked my way through Guy Fieri’s cookbook and wrote about the journey through Flavortown. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s Original Savory Thins. Fat free plain yogurt (usually Fage or Nancy’s). Honeycrisp apples. Sweet cream coffee creamer for my at-home Americanos. A frozen cauliflower crust pizza and some jarred mushrooms to top it with. Old El Paso Stand ‘N Stuff taco shells and Gardein Ground Be’f, even though I think “be’f” is a nightmarish contraction. Favorite ranking: Stouffer’s frozen dinners. I don’t own a microwave (I get my cancers the old fashioned way!), so I love taste testing things that I don’t really buy to eat at home. Least favorite ranking: Soy sauce. Don’t get me wrong, I love soy sauce—but consuming that much sodium in one sitting is probably illegal in some countries. Our frozen enchilada taste test was a close second; the smell of microwaved corn tortillas still haunts me.
