8 Drinks You Should Be Buying at Costco

Costco is a drink lover’s paradise. Either you get the drink you love the most in the largest vessel possible so you can have it with every meal or you get a variety pack to give you some options to try when you’re not ready to commit to just one bev. The possibilities are endless, so let’s go over some of the best drinks that I saw on my last trip to Costco.

Poppi Variety Pack

This variety pack is perfect for both Poppi lovers and newcomers to the probiotic soda trend. The 15-can pack comes with three flavors (five cans of each): Strawberry Lemon, Orange, and Cherry Limeade. When we did a taste test of Poppi flavors, we particularly liked the Strawberry Lemon, which Sporked‘s Jordan Myrick called “sweet, citrusy, and a little tangy,” adding that it “tastes like a delicious drink, not a drink with purported health benefits.”

Mexican Coke

Mexican Coke is a fan favorite because it’s sweetened with cane sugar rather than high fructose corn syrup like regular ol’ American Coke. When you find glass bottled Coke at restaurants, you’re looking at $3 to $5 a pop (at least here in L.A.). Pick up a 24-pack at Costco and save some cash the next time you order takeout.

La Colombe Draft Latte Cold Brew Coffee Variety Pack

If you can’t be bothered to brew your own coffee every day but you don’t want to get sucked into stopping at St*rbucks every day, having canned lattes in the fridge is a brilliant move. We love La Colombe canned lattes (their Triple Latte is our favorite), and we love that Costco sells a variety pack so you don’t get bored if you make these bevs part of your daily routine.

Spindrift Sparkling Water Variety Pack

You can never go wrong with having a case of sparkling water on hand. Have a can with lunch as a lil treat or mix one with booze in the evening. Plus, it’s always good to have sparkling water on hand when guests drop by—nobody wants your tepid tap water! Spindrift is the king of sparkling water because it’s made with real fruit juice rather than flavoring, and this Costco variety pack contains two of Sporked‘s favorite flavors (Lime and Grapefruit). The Lemon flavor is less good, but that’s the one you can pawn off on guests.

Celsius Sparkling Energy Drink Orange

When it comes to the best-tasting energy drinks, the Sporked crew particularly loves Celsius. My local store had a few bulk options, but a lot of the variety packs are filled with flavors we didn’t quite enjoy when we taste tested every flavor of Celsius. Don’t wind up with flavors you have to force down and just buy a 24-pack of the best Celsius flavor, Sparkling Orange, which Sporked‘s Gwynedd Stuart described as mellow and sweet, kind of like canned mandarins.

Naked 100% Juice Blend Variety Pack

Fruit juice is one of those things I should be consuming more of, but settling on one flavor (and then getting through an entire 12-pack of bottles before they expire) seems rough. Thankfully, Naked’s variety pack makes it easier. You get four flavors—Strawberry Banana, Mighty Mango, Blue Machine, and Berry Blast—and each one comes in a mini bottle that seems easier to finish than a standard-sized bottle of Naked. This drink is like a cross between a smoothie and straight-up juice, and, I’ll warn you in advance, it’s pretty addictive.

Gatorade Thirst Quencher Variety Pack

If you’ve got a kid who plays sports, they probably guzzle the hell out of some Gatorade. Unfortunately for you, that can get pricey—but buying in bulk at Costco certainly helps. We love that they offer a three-flavor variety pack, so when your kid won’t stop yelling that they don’t want any red Gatorade today, you can give them a yellow instead.

Arizona Green Tea with Ginseng and Honey

If I’m buying tea at Costco, I’m going to grab Arizona Green Tea with Ginseng and Honey because, yes, it’s the Sporked crew’s favorite flavor of Arizona, but also because I’m an adult now. That just means I’m no longer buying this at the corner store when I’m hungover at 11 a.m.—I’m buying it in bulk at Costco because I’m ready to commit.
