I’m not sure what is going on at Publix headquarters, but they’re on top of things this time of the year. I can at the very least deduce that they’re some real big fans of the “Big Game” that’s coming up. They’ve filled their Deals of the Week with some true heavy hitters that are just begging to be devoured while touchdowns are being made. Here are some Publix deals and BOGOs that (almost) make us wish we lived down south.
- Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzels (BOGO)
-
Pretzels don’t get enough love as a game day snack. They’re strong enough to hold up under the weight of even the fattest of dip pulls. They’re salty so you’re inclined to down more beers (not a bad thing). On top of that, Publix has a buy-one-get-one-free deal this week on the Sporked crew’s favorite pretzels. IYKYK: Snyder’s Snaps are THE best pretzels for scooping up thick, creamy dips.

- Utz Ripples Original Potato Chips (BOGO)
-
Don’t worry, chip purists. Publix has you covered for game day, too, with a BOG deal on party sized bags of Utz potato chip. Publix really wanted to make sure that no dip went un-dipped while the big game is on, and I respect the hard work.

- Ball Park Beef Hot Dogs (BOGO)
-
I think it’s a little too chilly to fire up the grill. That doesn’t mean I won’t stop you if you want to! I did however want to include a pick for a filling food that feels “game day” that can be prepped indoors or out. Choose to cook these up over charcoal or boil them like Costco would. The world’s your oyster!

- Publix Volcano Roll Dip (2/$10)
-
Publix gets one demerit for the week and it’s not putting their Inland Market Cajun Krab Dip that we’re fanatics for on sale. Instead, they put a set of four Publix-brand dips on sale for two for $10. You can choose from Volcano Roll, Buffalo-Style Chicken Breast, Chicken Bacon Ranch, and Spinach dips, but from what I can tell you can’t mix and match under the 2/$10 deal. So perhaps they’ve earned two demerits.

- 6-Pack Goose Island Beer Co. IPA (BOGO)
-
Publix is single-handedly bringing the buy-one-get-one deal back into fashion and I can’t love them enough for it. Light beer fits the game day theme more, but a deal like this on a nice IPA is hard to pass up. Plus, it gives your annoying IPA-loving friend a chance to turn the rest of the group into IPA drinkers, so it’s a twofer.
