Chances are, you have Huy Fong sriracha in your fridge (it’s the one with the rooster). But is it truly the best sriracha sauce? It might be the most readily available option, but is it the most delicious? We tasted 27 different sriracha brands to find out..

What we look for in the best sriracha:
- Flavor. Sriracha is more than just a hot sauce. It has a distinct flavor, thanks to a blend of fermented chilis (usually jalapenos), garlic, vinegar, sugar, and salt. This mix results in a balanced but multifaceted flavor profile. We look for that garlicky, slightly funky, sweet-salty flavor—but we allow for brands to throw in their own twists as well.
- Medium to high spice. Sriracha sauce should be spicy. It doesn’t have to blow the hair off your head, but it should have a decent heat level.
- Versatility. The best sriracha is as at home on a rice bowl as it is on pizza.
Not to be click-baity, but the results of our taste tests might actually surprise you. They certainly surprised us! Here are the best sriracha brands we tasted in our ultimate sriracha showdown.

- Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Chili Sauce
-
Lee Kum Kee is a solid, widely available sriracha. It has garlic and spice, which is exactly what I think of when I think of sriracha. What sets it apart is that it tastes a little like sriracha mixed with a dash of soy sauce. It’s very savory and a little less spicy than some of the other sriracha brands we tried. Because of this, I think it would be perfect for dipping dumplings or tempura or a banh mi. To be honest, this is a good dipping sauce for pretty much anything. Its versatility is what makes it one of the best sriracha sauces we tasted. — Jordan Myrick

- P.F. Chang’s Sriracha Mayo Dynamite Hot Sauce
-
P.F. Chang’s makes some good packaged foods. We’re fans of a lot of the restaurant’s frozen meals and we’ve also fallen for their ginger salad dressing and stir-fry sauce, but I still wasn’t sure I’d like this creamy, mayo-based take on a sriracha sauce. I was wrong to doubt P.F., because this stuff is good. It tastes like the creamy sauce you get on spicy tuna rolls. And trust me, it’s more than just spicy mayo. It has that signature sriracha flavor of mildly fermented chilis. This is the best sriracha sauce for at-home poke bowls or sushi bakes. — Justine Sterling

- Yellowbird Organic Sriracha
-
Yellowbird sriracha really tastes like the ingredients listed on the label were simply tossed into a food processor and then bottled. Do you get what I’m saying? You can taste the individual ingredients. You get specific notes of lime and dates. This is some of the best sriracha because it is the perfect combination of sweet, acidic, and spicy. Yum! — Jordan Myrick

- Huy Fong Foods Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce
-
This is the sriracha most people keep in their fridge for good reason. It tastes good! It’s super garlicky and very acidic. There’s a little kick that complements so many foods. It’s affordable, accessible, and good on just about everything. You simply cannot argue with Huy Fong Foods. If you only read this ranking to feel validated about continuing to buy Huy Fong, consider yourself validated. But it’s not quite the best sriracha sauce available. — Jordan Myrick

- Bushwick Kitchen Weak Knees Curry Sriracha
-
This is a show-stopping sriracha. Bushwick Kitchen makes a few versions of its Weak Knees sriracha (gochujang and super spicy gochujang, in addition to curry), but this was our favorite. I want to put this on crispy fried chicken. I also want to mix it with mayo to make the perfect fry sauce. And, sure, yes: I want to squirt it straight into my mouth. It’s just that good. After we recommended it on TikTok, lots of our followers bought it and agree that it is phenomenal. I’m not saying we’re always right, but we are right a lot. — Jordan Myrick

- Sky Valley Sriracha Sauce
-
I had never even heard of the brand Sky Valley before trying this sriracha, but now we’re spreading the good word. Because Sky Valley makes some of the best sriracha sauce you can buy. It’s so garlicky and we absolutely love that. It’s spicy, but not too spicy. This mixed with butter and then slathered all over crispy chicken wings? I’m salivating. — Jordan Myrick

- Melinda’s Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce
-
I’m not sure if anyone was asking for a “homestyle” sriracha, but Melinda’s delivered on that request, nonetheless. Rather than being uniformly smooth, you get little bits of pepper in the sauce. And the flavor? It’s incredible—vegetal and fresh and bright. It’s also some of the spicier sriracha we tasted, like, really spicy. Watch out. This is some of the best sriracha to use when you really want to feature the sauce, rather than mix it in with stuff. I’m going to be using it on lettuce wraps. — Justine Sterling

- Sriraja Panich Sriracha Chili Sauce
-
A quick Google search will tell you that this is the real, original sriracha. And you can tell. It is so deliciously complex. It hits every single taste bud on your tongue. It’s spicy, sour, garlicky, salty, and even a little sweet. My only frustration is that this comes in a small bottle. It is so tasty that I want—no, need—a big bottle of it. I will never go back to putting any other sriracha on my Thai food. — Jordan Myrick
