The Best Things We Ate This Week (August 21-25)

Every week, the Sporked team sidles up to the tasting table and sets out to find the absolute best of the best packaged foods, the gold hidden in the grocery aisles. Each week we’ll bring you five standouts that truly rocked our taste buds and changed our lives—or at least our buying habits. Here are the best things we ate this week.

Good Culture Probiotic Sour Cream

This sour cream is so thick and rich. Apparently, it also has probiotics in it! That is cool, but definitely takes a backseat to how delicious it tastes. But, hey! Who am I to be mad at something tasty that allegedly helps your gut health?

Zatarain’s Blackened Chicken Alfredo Frozen Meal

This frozen meal from Zatarain’s is as good as it looks on the box and that’s so rare for frozen food. The pasta is al dente, the chicken is well-seasoned, and the sauce is creamy. If you find yourself reaching for a filling and comforting frozen meal, I suggest reaching for this one.

Late July Jalapeño Lime Tortilla Chips

These don’t taste like the lime tortilla chips you normally get. They taste like some kind of incredible jalapeno Doritos. They are so flavorful and spicy. The heat really builds as you snack on them. You could eat these with guac or enjoy them alone. No matter what you do, eat them! They’re so good!

Trader Joe’s Roasted Garlic & Pesto Pizza with Deep Fried Crust

This tastes like a pizza you’d get at a restaurant. It’s perfectly greasy, the pesto is flavorful, and the crust is chewy in the best way. Bust this one out for guests or eat it on the couch alone if you’re having a “treat yourself” night. You deserve it!

Bacon Toaster Scrambles Pastries

10/10. Perfection. No notes. This pastry is restaurant quality. The bacon is smoky and salty. The eggs are soft. The cheese is melty. The pastry is flaky. I wish I was eating one right now. They are so good. Please, I’m begging you: Add these to your breakfast rotation.
