The Best Things We Ate This Week (March 27-31)

Every week, the Sporked team sidles up to the tasting table and sets out to find the absolute best of the best packaged foods, the gold hidden in the grocery aisles. Each week we’ll bring you five standouts that truly rocked our taste buds and changed our lives—or at least our buying habits. Here are the best things we ate this week.

Dynasty Sweet & Sour Sauce

I think of sweet and sour sauce as something people typically get at restaurants and only at restaurants. You’ve seen it on fried chicken bites or as a dipping sauce for egg rolls. Dynasty Sweet & Sour Sauce makes me want to cook up sweet and sour dishes at home. If you love Chinese takeout but you’re looking to save money, this sauce is the hack for you.

Gotham Greens Creamy Vegan Ranch

The most bizarre thing about this vegan ranch dressing is that it doesn’t even taste like ranch. It tastes like caesar dressing! That being said, this vegan ranch is the best vegan caesar dressing I’ve ever had. If you gave me this on romaine with some croutons, I would have no idea that there isn’t a lick of eggs or dairy in this salad dressing.

King’s Hawaiian Sweet Pretzel Slider Buns

King’s Hawaiian is the king of bread. We love them. I have never had a King’s Hawaiian product that wasn’t 10/10. Their sweet pretzel buns are no different. They are both soft and sturdy. The rock salt on top gives them a great crunch. Buy these. You will fall in love with them.

Canada Dry Green Tea Ginger Ale

Canada Dry is one of my favorite soda brands because pretty much all their flavors are delicious. I have not had a single one that I didn’t like, at the very least. This green tea flavor, though, is the best Canada Dry flavor I’ve tried. In fact, this is one of the best sodas I’ve had.

C. Wirthy & Co. Blackened Hand-Seasoned Atlantic Salmon Fillets

These frozen fish fillets make me feel like I never need to go out to a fancy restaurant ever again. They are so perfectly seasoned. Maybe it’s the hand seasoning of it all? Regardless, they’re perfect. We tossed one into the toaster oven and it came out perfectly cooked. They make for a quick and easy dinner hack. Impress a date! Satisfy your family! I’m telling you, these are perfect!
