The Best Things We Ate This Week (November 6-10)

Every week, the Sporked team sidles up to the tasting table and sets out to find the absolute best of the best packaged foods, the gold hidden in the grocery aisles. Each week we’ll bring you five standouts that truly rocked our taste buds and changed our lives—or at least our buying habits. Here are the best things we ate this week.

Sanpellegrino Pompelmo

Sipping on this Sanpellegrino sparkling juice beverage tastes like biting into a juicy grapefruit. It’s so bright and citrusy. We already knew that we like Sanpellegrino in general, but none of us had tasted this flavor before. Now it’s one of our favorites.

Hal’s Sweet Chili New York Kettle Cooked Potato Chips

I was in New York City this week and I got to try several flavors of Hal’s potato chips. This brand might be known for their seltzer, but their chips as just as good. I particularly love this sweet chili flavor. It’s a little sweet, a little spicy, and plenty salty. I want to cram these onto a chicken salad sandwich.

Applegate Natural Uncured Peppered Genoa Salami

These slices of salami are so peppery and thin. They taste like a restaurant charcuterie offering. Slap these on a board with some cheese and crackers, and you’ll have the most sophisticated adult Lunchables you can imagine.

Private Selection Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate Chunk Cookie Dough

This sea salt caramel chocolate chunk cookie dough tastes as good as it sounds. There’s so much caramel in the dough that it pools around the cookies as they bake. That being said, they are still definitely chocolate chip cookies.

Reese’s Caramel Big Cup

These are delicious. No surprise! It’s a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup with caramel in it. But here’s the thing: The peanut butter in this cup is actually better than the peanut butter in a regular Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. It’s so smooth and creamy. It’s a perfect 10/10.
