The best vegan buffalo wings are spicy, meaty, and easy to prepare. And by meaty, I mean not meaty at all. They should be 100% plant-based buffalo wings, but give the illusion of meat, from a savory taste to a hearty texture.
While the frozen food aisle isn’t filled with a ton of vegetarian buffalo wings options, the options that are out there are actually really good! We tried every single vegan buffalo wing you can find at your local grocery store chain to narrow down which meatless buffalo wings you should be buying. These three vegetarian buffalo wings below are all products that would make Buffalo proud. Now, all you need is some plant-based ranch.
- Jack & Annie’s Buffalo Jack Wings
The “jack” in Jack & Annie’s “jack wings” comes from the fact that their plant-based buffalo wings are made with jackfruit. If you’ve never had jackfruit, it’s a hearty, meaty fruit that is very mild in flavor. It’s extremely popular with fancy vegan restaurants and food bloggers. It’s not quite as meaty as something like soy protein, but it’s still a great option for meat-free-but-meat-like meals. They were definitely some of the best vegan buffalo wings we tried and we think you should try them too!

- Morningstar Farms Veggitizers Veggie Buffalo Wings
I think Morningstar products are so underrated. I know they aren’t fancy and they certainly don’t replicate real meat, like Beyond or Impossible products. But they’ve been around forever! Morningstar Farms was there for me when no one else was. My nine-year-old vegetarian self was able to take a box of Morningstar burgers to a BBQ and feel like everyone else. I still stand by their products. They taste good! They definitely taste like fake meat, but good fake meat. And their Veggitizers veggie buffalo wings are one of the best vegetarian buffalo wings on the market.

- Gardein Ultimate Plant-Based Buffalo Chick’n Wings
Gardein’s Ultimate Frozen Vegan Buffalo Boneless Wings are by far the best vegan buffalo wings we tried. They have such a perfect texture. The plant-based “wing” pulls apart like real, dark meat chicken. More importantly, these are the only vegan wings that come with sauce! I think that is so important. When I want wings, I want them to be saucy. And the sauce is good! It’s tangy and a little spicy. The amount of vegetarian buffalo wings in each bag is plentiful. These are perfect and I definitely think you should buy them.

Ssssoooomething isn’t quite right here. Is it just me? The Gardein has the same info as jack&annies
Guyssss you have to try the May Wah chicken leg drumsticks. You do need to cook them to your preference and they don’t come with Buffalo sauce so you have to make it homemade but I’m not kidding they’re so legit. My husband is not vegan AT ALL and he loves these. I bake then shallow fry mine and do a classic vegan sauce with hot sauce and vegan butter OMG SO GOOOOD
Gotta include the Field Roast Fruffalo wings! They are not the texture of wings, but as a meat-eater, I still can take down a bag of those spicy guys.
