Like any fast food chain these days, Bojangles knows the importance of keeping things in flow. The Charlotte-born fried chicken restaurant did a big old refresh of its menu at the start of summer, bringing new breakfast sandwiches, new drinks, and a new dessert to the masses. Those breakfast sandwiches, incidentally, were a winner in our books (although we did like one more than the other) – and left us hungry for more. What delights would be coming our way next? We wondered. Oh, how we wondered.

Well, now, we know. Bojangles has just announced a fall menu update, and there’s more than a whiff of nostalgia about it – in a good way.

Bojangles Fall Menu

Bojangles’ fall menu update is a little smaller than its summer one, but that’s not a bad thing. Call it focused, streamlined, specific. The bannerhead drop here, at least in my eyes, is the debut of Cinnamon Toast Crunch Iced Coffee and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Donut Bites, both of which are bound to ignite a sense of childlike glee in a couple of customers. The iced coffee combines its iced coffee blend with sweet cream and a Cinnamon Toast Crunch syrup, served over ice. The donut bites, meanwhile, are made with buttermilk biscuit dough, tossed in sugar, and served with salted caramel sauce. They’re available in six-piece and 12-piece portions.

Bojangles has also announced the return of its Pork Chop Griller. This biscuit first appeared way back in 2006 in a slightly different form, later relaunching as the sandwich people know today and becoming a yearly seasonal staple on its menu. Once more, it consists of a seared pork chop in a Bojangles buttermilk biscuit.

Available Now!

These three new items are very much a “get them while you can” affair – once they’re gone, they’re gone, so don’t miss out. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch Iced Coffee and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Donut Bites are also the latest in what’s been a summer – nay, a year – of the cereal flavor showing up elsewhere. A couple of months back, Dairy Queen dropped its Cinnamon Toast Crunch Dipped Cone, which felt similarly nostalgic, if a tad underwhelming. We also got a fairly out-there collab in the form of Cinnamon Toast Crunch teaming up with Chamoy Mega to create a cinnamon-y sauce…and a saucy cereal. Weird flex, but as far as food team-ups go, that one’s far from the strangest I’ve seen.
