Please, people. Please. I’m begging you to cool it on food-flavored products designed for anything but eating. By “people,” I mean “the product development teams of all of these companies putting said items out there” – and I have reason for doing so. 2026 has seen a flood of body care products that smell like foods and drinks, with Pepsi body wash and Mountain Dew soap being two of the weirdest to come out in recent months. The dam truly broke, though, when Mylanta released its Fall Harvest collection, which contained…pumpkin pie-flavored antacids

Just when I thought I couldn’t furrow my brow any more than I already have at all this, we now have candy corn perfume, courtesy of Brach’s. It’s all quite a lot, isn’t it?

Ode To Candy Corn, By Brach’s: This Season’s Must-Have Fragrance(?)

Yesterday, we learned that Brach’s Candy was pivoting to the fragrance sector with its Ode To Candy Corn. “Pivot” is a bit of a strong word, of course: This is seasonal marketing at its finest from the nation’s number one candy corn brand, and it seems like the perfume will be available in fairly limited quantities. We can’t imagine that Brach’s will be turning any more of its candies into fragrances any time soon – but we might be wrong! Maybe this is the start of a whole new line for the brand.

Anyway, to Ode To Candy Corn. In its press release, Brach’s says that the eau de parfum will contain “notes of creamy vanilla, spun sugar and honey.” Each 1.7 oz. bottle will cost $22 each (it says in the release that all sales are final, so no refunds if you hate it, folks!) and will be available at CandyCornSeason.com on September 22 and October 1, dropping on both days at 7 p.m. ET. I can see this selling out and becoming a collector’s item very quickly, so if you’re interested, don’t miss out.

And How Do We All Feel About It?

As you can probably imagine, the response to the existence of candy corn perfume has been mixed, to say the least. “UMMM……nobody asked. WHY?! I bet it gonna reek of that fake butter smell,” said one person over on Instagram, in food influencer @markie_devo’s post about the scent. Tombstone Pizza even got in on the action, commenting “Respectfully…what.” Others, though, are seeing the fun side — and if you’ve ever wanted to smell like…candy, now you can.
