Some people don’t like garlic, and that’s just a fact (no matter how much it confounds the rest of us). But if garlic still is a dividing line between humans and vampires (and we trust the science of horror movies), Buffalo Wild Wings has come up with a garlic-loaded menu that’s both fit for Halloween and a tasty-yet-practical way to feed yourself and stay vampire-free.

They’re calling it the “Fright Feast Menu,” and it features a “twisted” take on garlicky flavor and color, and it’s available at a B-Dubs near you from September 30th through November 9th.

Wings All Dressed In Black (Garlic, That Is)

We already know Buffalo Wild Wings is always serious about flavor (and very, very serious about sauces.) So our collective hopes can be reasonably high for the Fright Feast Menu, since the dark beating heart of it is a sauce―the Black Garlic Glaze―which you can order coated all over your choice of “Vampire Hunter” chicken wings and/or slashed in dramatic black tangles across a pile of golden fried Cheese Curds.

There’s a cocktail―also an iconic vampire huntress―involved, but in case you aren’t familiar with black garlic (which is kind of the feature flavor), don’t fear: it’s just regular garlic that’s been gently aged. There’s no food dye, or even sharp flavor involved. (In fact the garlic goes through the delicately sweetening “Maillard-Hodge” reaction; it’s the same thing that gives steaks that ultra-savory browned flavor―now just imagine that, plus sweet mellow garlic, on your wings.)

A Menu Good Enough To Slay For

As promised, the fun doesn’t stop there. There’s a cocktail to round out the Fright Feast Menu, the Vampirita, which is built like a Margarita with a hint of the macabre. It’s made with herbal, peppery Lunazul Blanco Tequila, citrusy-sweet triple sec, black cherry, and lime. It’s actually very one-theme visually: crimson red thanks to the addition of black cherry, plus a black salt rim, and cute little bat trinket.

And even though it’s a small menu for a Fright Feast, Buffalo Wild Wings went all out with a commercial for the whole thing featuring none other than America’s Vampire-Killingest Sweetheart, Sarah Michelle Gellar, who fends off some very pale Wild Wings customers in the spot. (We’re not gonna lie, it was reassuring to see Buffy back doing what she does best.) The decidedly un-ghoulish menu is available at participating Buffalo Wild Wings now through November 9th so get your Vampirita, your sticky Black Garlic Glazed wings, and those golden fried Cheese Curds while you can.

(Especially if a pale guy in a long black cape won’t stop following you around.)
