Pepperidge Farm is so good at multitasking. On one hand, they’re out here making goofy nonsense like Awesome Sauce Goldfish. At the same time, they’re creating elevated cookies like Milanos. (And, if you hadn’t noticed, Goldfish and Milanos are even sold in the same paper-foil pouch bags.) Today, we’ve got a new variant of the latter on our hands: Chai Latte Milanos.
Pepperidge Farm was nice enough to send over all three of their autumn cookie variants. You can already read my review of Pumpkin Spice Milanos. Keep an eye out for my review of Pumpkin Cheesecake Soft-Baked Cookies as part of a larger pumpkin spice round-up I’m working on. But today, we’re talking about Chai Latte Milano Cookies.
When did Pepperidge Farm start making drink-flavored Milanos?
They’ve been on this beat for a while now, actually. This is the fourth hot-drink-flavored Milano in recent memory, following the subtle London Fog Milanos, the divine Amaretto Hot Cocoa Milanos, and the fantastic Caramel Café Au Lait Milanos.
I wonder if P.F. is hoping we’ll start using Milanos as biscotti. After all, dipping these hot-drink-flavored cookies won’t mess up the flavor profile of the very same hot drinks they’re based on.
