This is a part of the store that most of us give a wide berth to while we’re on the way to its frozen foods and snacks, unless we know that we need to gift something to a relative that’s impossible to buy for (sorry, mom, we’re just never quite sure what you want!). However, visiting the gift card aisle as a regular part of your shopping trip can unveil some wildly good deals now and again—especially at Costco, where gift cards can often be heavily discounted, basically giving you free money for the place you’re spending them in.

In the last few days, the big-box retailer has struck again. Eagle-eyed customers have spied a 40% off deal on Crumbl Cookies gift cards in-store, so you can save big on all of those new menu items.

Costco’s Latest Gift Card Deal Gives You $40 Off

The deal on Crumbl Cookies gift cards that’s currently available at Costco started well, and got even better. Costco was originally selling $100 worth of gift cards in a four-pack of $25 cards for $79.99. However, in the last couple of days, it looks as though the retailer has further discounted this price by a further $20, to $59.99. Forty dollars’ worth of Dubai Chocolate cookies for free? We’ll take that. 

It’s worth pointing out that this deal’s not going to last forever, and you’d better get yourself down to your local Costco sharpish if you want to take advantage of it. Costco’s Crumbl gift card deal is due to end on January 25, so you’ll need to move quickly. However, even if you only shop at Crumbl once or twice a year, this is probably still going to be worth your time: They don’t have any expiration date, although importantly, they’re non-refundable. Oh, and there’s no limit on your purchase, so grab as many as you want, while stocks last. 

Costco Customers Are Pretty Impressed with the Deal

Given that this deal essentially conjures up free money to spend at Crumbl, it’s no wonder that it’s caught the eye of Costco shoppers. “Wow that’s an amazing deal!” said one customer on Reddit, where the news of the gift card discount was discussed. Another shopper rightly mentioned that buying the cards didn’t allow you to earn rewards with your Costco membership—but that it was indeed a great find. 

This isn’t the first time that Costco has offered discounts on its gift cards, and it probably won’t be the last. In the past, the store sold cards for restaurants like Outback Steakhouse and California Pizza Kitchen at lower prices than they were worth, and for online third-party grocery services like Instacart. Despite the store having some wild splurges, when it comes to its gift cards, it keeps things reasonable—so swing your cart over next time you’re in the store.
