Dairy Queen Just Launched 3 New Coffee Coolers (& One Is Oreo Flavored)

Fall is here and generally it’s the season when we all kind of get back into the grind or groove―whatever it is you get into, you tend to do it around now. And we’re not gonna lie, there’s a kind of satisfaction in that feeling of renewed seasonal productivity. If only our actual energy could keep up.

That’s why (and months before we’re even required to consider “gratitude”) we’re already grateful for something. None other than the Dairy Queen herself has generously decided to add deliciousness to our (let’s be honest) overflowing cornucopia of caffeinated beverage options. DQ’s actually been busy with its menu, even recently toying with some, well, fancier-than-expected Blizzard flavors. But these, thankfully, are a bit more straightforward, just three new limited time Coffee Coolers. And yes, one of them is Oreo-flavored. 

Can We Make Coffee Coolers A Happy Kind Of Breakfast?

Based on what’s in them, probably not. Yes, they’re cold brew-based. DQ describes them as “delicious frozen treats mixed with cold brew, world famous DQ soft serve and ice.” The flavors are Oreo DQ Coffee Cooler, Salted Caramel DQ Coffee Cooler, and Toasted Marshmallow DQ Coffee Cooler. As much as we want to rationalize these as breakfast options, it gets a bit harder the more you get into the description. 

For instance, the Oreo Cooler has “cold brew blended [with] Oreo cookie pieces.” Add soft serve, whipped cream, and yet more Oreo cookie pieces and we’re well into dessert territory. (And if that’s not enough, Oreos have been ice cream-ified in other fun ways recently.) The other two flavors follow a similarly luscious trajectory: the Salted Caramel is cold brew, soft serve, and DQ’s misty slush, with caramel topping, whipped cream, and “caramel and sweet and salty pieces,” and the Toasted Marshmallow has the same foundations, except it’s topped with whipped topping and cocoa fudge. 

Celebrate National Coffee Day With A Cheap Chill

One thing you don’t have to wonder about is how long you can get these―they’re available at DQs nationwide anytime between now and November 1st. They’re on the “Blended Beverage” section of the online menu and you’ll probably see a shiny new poster somewhere very visible at your local DQ. Bonus points, on National Coffee Day (September 29th), you can get a small of any (or every) flavor Coffee Cooler for just $3. (That announcement does say “at participating locations,” so ask first before you decide to order all three.)
