Dollar General really is spoiling us with Easter candy this year. They’re stocking the hits, but they’re stocking some fun surprises, too. Listen, you won’t find Peeps on this list—but we’re trying to keep things interesting around here. Believe me, even if you don’t buy Peeps, you will wind up eating Peeps this Easter season. It just kind of happens. Anyway, I digress. Here’s some fun Easter candy you’ll find at Dollar General this year—no need to wait for an anthropomorphic bunny to come around with a basket.

Cadbury Milk Chocolate Mini Eggs
A crispy sugar shell with a burst of chocolate inside? Uh, yeah, these little chocolate eggs are addictive and you can only find them in stores around Easter time, so stock up if you see these suckers at Dollar General.
Lindt Lindor Carrot Cake Truffles
Do these count as Easter candy because they’re carrot cake flavored? Yes, they do. This seasonal flavor only shows up in stores during the springtime and while they aren’t our favorite Lindor Truffles (grainted, our taste-tester is a dyed-in-the-wool dark chocolate fan), they taste a lot like cream cheese frosting, and that’s enough for us.
Haribo Happy Chicks Gummi Candy
Happy chicks? That’s what I call my Hinge matches, ayoooo. Actually though, Easter is full of enough chocolate. It’s nice to get some Haribo gummy action into the mix while we’re at Dollar General. But don’t worry, we’re not done with chocolate yet…
RM Palmer Big Ears Milk Chocolate Easter Bunny
Look at the ears on this one! Truthfully, I don’t expect this chocolate to be good, but that’s not why we’re here. We’re here for these freakishly large ears. Comically sized, even. The novelty of this alone wins its way into our Dollar General Easter basket.
It wouldn’t be Easter without a Reese’s egg from Dollar General. They’re the most no-frills holiday-shaped Reese’s candy, and they’re also one of the best. Here to deliver an ungodly amount of Reese’s peanut butter to chocolate ration that on paper shouldn’t work. The peanut butter is so divine that it still does, to a satisfying degree.
