Dr Pepper has been teasing its Tic Tac collaboration for a while now, initially playing it off as an April Fools prank last year. But it’s real—and Dr Pepper Tic Tacs are finally here. We tried them at the Sweets & Snack Expo in Indianapolis last year, so here’s everything you need to know.
What do the Tic Tac Dr Pepper Mints taste like?
Dr Pepper is one of those sodas that’s tough to describe. It’s made with 23 flavors, but the brand has never confirmed what those are. You can, however, taste cherry and cinnamon, among other fruits and spices. In our review, Sporked contributor Tyler Bowers wrote that the mints start out sweet, then turn fizzy, finishing with a tang. If you’re looking for an accurate Dr Pepper flavor, this is the right Tic Tac to try, as it’s more authentic than the Sprite Tic Tacs. The only downside is that, while it’s fizzy, it’s not as fizzy as we’d like, and it almost feels like tasting the soda after it’s gone flat.
When can I get the Tic Tac Dr Pepper Mints?
They are available now in select stores, and will hit stores nationwide in the next couple of months. Sadly, these mints aren’t a permanent addition to Tic Tac’s addictive flavors. It’s only available for a limited time.
Is this the first time Tic Tac has collaborated with a soda?
It is not. Tic Tac teamed up with Sprite for lemon-lime flavored mints in 2023, but they failed to impress us as much as the Tic Tac Dr Pepper Mints. Tic Tac also made a Coca-Cola version in the past.
