Folks, I’ve got some bad news: You can’t just drink soda and energy drinks all day, every day. Every once in a while, it’s a good idea to drink something that has “benefits” or “functions” or “fiber” written on the can. That’s why I’m so glad erha sent over samples of their new trio of functional wellness drinks to try. Each drink is targeting a different need, so let’s find out if drinking three at once makes me a superhero.
- erha ALLERGY SUPPORT Revitalizing Greens
-
Pros: As someone plagued with allergies on the daily, this was the formula I was most interested in trying. While most “greens” beverages end up on the smoothie end of the consistency spectrum, this is a super light drink—a pleasant alternative for sure. The cucumber, apple, lemongrass, and ginger flavors come together in a very refreshing way. This is my favorite drink of the trio I tried.
Cons: That refreshing flavor didn’t read the same way to all my fellow taste-testers. It got a mixed bag of reactions to say the least. Someone said this tasted like grocery store vegetarian sushi; someone else skipped straight to saying it tasted like grass. (These people are used to me having them try candy and cookies; this drink might have been a shock to their systems.)

- erha RELAX Soothing Vanilla Chai
-
Pros: Have I mentioned how much I love the design of these drinks? The exposed aluminum logo is such a vibe.
Cons: If it wasn’t obvious, I couldn’t find anything particularly positive to say about this drink. When I read “Soothing Vanilla Chai,” I’m expecting something with a creamy texture akin to chai drinks I’ve had before. This is not that. One of my taste testers described this as “chai seltzer” and there’s no better way to say it. The flavor is vaguely chai-ish, but if that’s the most I can say after downing an entire can…

- erha DIGESTION Invigorating Blackberry Hibiscus
-
Pros: All three of these drinks taste healthy without tasting universally gross—impressive stuff. (I’ve had some smoothies that could learn a few things.) This drink’s flavor is heavy on the hibiscus and turmeric, of all things. I didn’t get much blackberry on the front end, but it snuck up on me after a few sips.
Cons: That same herbal combo of hibiscus and turmeric turned off most of the other taste testers who were hoping for more fruitiness in a drink that claims a fruit as the first flavor of note.

Where can I find these erha drinks for myself?
While erha is still working on retailer placement (Whole Foods seems perfect for these), you can order individual flavor or mixed cases from their website.

They all sound terrible and relatively useless. Just because you CAN make a product doesn’t mean you should.
