This has been a big year for lots of things. We don’t have to get into all of them right now, but we can all generally agree on the most momentous, world-changing thing that happened in 2025 (wink): Mountain Dew had a whole heckin’ bunch of new and returning flavor releases. They did everything from Dragonfruit to Trolli Gummy and beyond, releasing flavors that made us all think, “Huh…never saw that as a Mountain Dew flavor. But I’m certainly not opposed to the idea.” So without further a-dew, let’s talk about some of this year’s most mountainous and dewy highlights.

Mountain Dew Baja Cabo Citrus

If you like orange soda, you’ll like Mountain Dew Baja Cabo Citrus. This guy dropped in April 2025 and was supposed to be mandarin-lime flavored. Sporked taste testers thought it tasted objectively good, but were a little disappointed in the ratio of orange to lime, which is to say…it was almost all orange. But we liked it well enough! This was certainly a refreshing, drinkable soda; we just weren’t blown away all the way to Cabo.

Mountain Dew Dragon Fruit

This Walmart-exclusive Mountain Dew flavor was intended to taste like dragonfruit and citrus, and it did deliver on that promise. It was released in June, and we liked it pretty well. It was very refreshing, but we wish the flavor was a little bit stronger. That said, dragonfruit isn’t that strong of a flavor to begin with, so maybe this new Mountain Dew had a bit of a disadvantage from the start.

Mountain Dew Baja Midnight

This passionfruit-lime Mountain Dew became a permanent new flavor at Taco Bell in August, and when we got a taste of it, we thought it was very similar to Mountain Dew Baja Passionfruit Punch. That’s not necessarily a bad thing! If you, like my dad, are a passionfruit fiend who is all for anything passionfruit-flavored, then you will have absolutely zero problems with this.

Mountain Dew HoneyDEW

This melon-y Mountain Dew flavor came out in Canada in 2023, so it is not new to the world; it is just new to the good ol’ U.S. of A. Mountain Dew HoneyDEW arrived in the U.S. in July, exclusively at Maverik and Kum & Go gas stations. We thought they did a great job with the refreshing, melon flavor, even if that flavor is not all that creative for a Mountain Dew flavor offering. This one reminded us of the Gatorade Cucumber Lime, and we love that guy, so take that as you will.

Mountain Dew Mango Rush

This was a Little Caesars (pizza pizza)-exclusive flavor, and was available for a limited time starting in May. The flavor was a mango sweet heat mixed with citrus. It was not very spicy, but we really liked the mango flavor, and the slight spice we did detect complemented the mango nicely.

Mountain Dew Summer Sparkler Froster and Mountain Dew Summer Freeze

This frosty, freezy, refreshing Mountain Dew product was exclusive to Circle K. The Sporked taste tester who tried it said it tasted like a frozen version of Mountain Dew Summer Freeze, the one that was meant to taste like a bomb pop. This was apparently really good, and we hope they bring it back next summer!

Mountain Dew Summer Freeze was also back this year, and the bomb pop flavored soda we liked so much the first time around back in 2023 is still (unsurprisingly) very solid.

Mountain Dew Infinite Swirl

This flavor came back in May after being around half of 2024 and then taking six months off. Mountain Dew Infinite Swirl tasted like pineapple and “berry” (we are not sure which berry), though it does have some images of strawberries on the packaging. This one is exclusive to 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes, except for the fountain version (Fountain Dew, if you will), which was available elsewhere as well. We really liked this one and thought that if it had even just a touch more of that classic stinging pineapple acidity, it would be pretty near perfect.

Mountain Dew Trolli Cherry Lemon

What an emotional journey. If you followed Mountain Dew news this year, then you know there was supposed to be a VooDEW mystery flavor, then it got canceled, then they were all set to release this Trolli collab flavor instead, prompting fans to wonder if the VooDEW flavor was supposed to be Trolli and there was some sort of brand disagreement that led to the utter lack of mystery.

All that said, Mountain Dew released in this cherry-lemon flavor in September 2025 as a collab with Trolli, replacing this year’s VooDEW release, and y’all? This flavor was super good. Sporked’s taste testers even said the zero sugar version was the best zero sugar Mountain Dew they had ever tried, and this man has tried damn near ALL of them. If you can still find this somehow, Dew buy it and try it because once it is gone, it is gone.

Honorable Mention: MTN Dew Flavored Trolli Sour Brite Crawlers

Not only did Mountain Dew dew a Trolli flavor, Trolli also did a Dew…I stand by that sentence. The point is that in addition to a soda, we also got Mountain Dew flavored Trolli gummies this year, and we thought they were fairly accurate to the three Mountain Dew flavors they were trying to recreate in gelatinous worm form (Original Citrus, Original Citrus Cherry aka Code Red, and Original Citrus Blue Raspberry aka Voltage). All in all, a fun new way to dew the Dew if I dew say so myself.
