Well, friends, it is July, and you know what that means. Long days, pool parties, and suddenly all of the pumpkin spice flavored things show up on shelves because companies are worried that if they are too late, they might accidentally miss fall. Someone should tell them that’s sort of unlikely unless there’s a summer/fall groundhog no one is telling me about. But regardless of what I or this mysterious new groundhog think about how much summer is still to come, fall coffee creamers and coffee drinks are already starting to hit shelves, which is great news for creeps who love seasonal creep (like Sporked managing editor Gwynedd Stuart).
Plus, there are some exciting new seasonal creamers coming out this year, so we are here to give you the scoop on what to expect this fall. And who knows? Maybe this year’s crop of creamers will be the cream of the crop!
New holiday creamer: Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake
Does this mean pine needle-flavored coffee? No siree, Bob. This means white cake with vanilla frosting-flavored coffee. Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes have a BIG fan base (we love them, too), so grab this stuff as soon as you see it.
New RTD Iced Coffee: International Delight Pumpkin Pie Spice Iced Coffee
The other new seasonal coffee item coming down the pike is International Delight Pumpkin Pie Spice Iced Coffee. I know, this doesn’t sound like something all that novel, but I promise it is. Until now, International Delight only had pumpkin spice cold foam and creamer, but now with the addition of this ready-to-drink iced coffee, their PSL trifecta is complete. This does, however, mean you could put pumpkin spice coffee creamer in pumpkin spice flavored coffee and top it all with pumpkin spice cold foam, but I’m not so sure you should. It would either be an International Delight or an International Disaster, and I’m not so sure that’s a risk I’m willing to take.
Returning seasonal creamers and coffees
As for what is returning from previous years, it looks like we’ll have pumpkin spice and caramel apple creamers from Coffee Mate, and Dunkin is hitting us with its Dunkin Pumpkin Munchkin creamer again. Chobani Pumpkin Spice creamer is back, along with STōK Pumpkin Cold Brew Coffee, and the two International Delight products I mentioned earlier, the pumpkin spice creamer and cold foam, are back as well.
Whether your fall starts now when the first fall creamer hits the shelves, or in September when the summer groundhog, Burbank Bill, fails to see his shadow, just know your festive coffee is safe and there for you on shelves whenever you decide you need it.
