Sprouts has opened its very first location in New York (in Centereach on Long Island, to be exact)! A new chain opening up can be a whole spectacle. Everyone gathers to celebrate the new offerings that’ll be on hand. Things you’ve only ever heard of before, like they were some kind of myth. Like hypothetically, products you read about on an incredibly neat site that rates and reviews grocery store products. A site that employs America’s number one hottest and funniest bachelor. What a site that’d be. Okay, enough of the lollygagging, we have to get into it. Now that there’s a Sprouts in New York (which is part of a big East Coast expansion for the chain), you’re going to need some Sporked tested and approved products.
Sprouts Salted Caramel Cookie Gelato
Sprouts has its very own line of gelato! Which means this trip is just the first of many that you’ll make to test them all yourself. You should start off on the right foot with our favorite though, salted caramel cookie. That way it’s all downhill from here!
Hissho Spicy Tuna Roll
Yes, grocery store sushi! You’re shopping in the big leagues now, which means you can actually trust the sushi that you’re grabbing at the grocery store. We found the fish tasted pretty high quality and the roll was actually spicy with a bit of crunchy, cooling cucumber to bring it all together. We tried a lot of grocery store sushi and believe us, this is some of the best.
Sprouts Plant Based Ranch
If you’re vegan, we’re pleased to report that Sprouts has a lot of good proprietary plant-based products, including this vegan ranch dressing. If you’re not vegan, we’re still pleased to report that this dressing is good enough for your chicken wings. It’s creamy, it’s herby, it’s tangy. It’s everything you want a ranch to be, let alone a vegan ranch.
Sprouts San Francisco Style Sourdough
A grocery store selling a good loaf of bread right down the street can be a godsend. You can walk over and grab a loaf when you just want a simple meal for the evening after a long day. Sprouts’ San Francisco style sourdough has a crisp crust and chewy, doughy innards that you could make a hell of a sandwich outta.
Sprouts Chicken Salad
What kind of sandwich you may ask? Well, you could go with chicken salad if you grab some from Sprouts’ deli. We loved Sprouts chicken salad for the inclusion of crisp veggies—carrots, green onions, celery. They stand on their own in a chicken salad that’s light on the mayo (if you’re a wetter-the-better kind of guy or gal, you can always add some more mayo of your own).
