A few weeks ago, I heard a wild rumor: Liquid Death was collaborating with Fruity Pebbles on a sparkling water coming soon. That couldn’t possibly be true, could it? I reached out to our faithful PR contact at Liquid Death to ask whether I was being tricked and I got the nicest “yes it’s real and no you shouldn’t know about it yet and please stay quiet” email in response.
Well, the cat’s out of the bag officially now: Fruity Pebbles flavored sparkling water is real, and I have it in front of me. The nice people at Liquid Death sent over a couple cans of this abomination new product for me to review. Let’s find out what the hell they were thinking.

Pros: This new Liquid Death flavor tastes exactly how you’d expect (fear?) it to taste. The flavor is dead on and it does a great job of covering up that sparkling water harshness. Somehow, they even got the post-spoonful of Fruity Pebbles mouthfeel in there. I won’t say it’s my new favorite sparkling water, but it’s definitely one of the most interesting drinks I’ve had from Liquid Death. I absolutely recommend picking up a can and trying it for yourself.
Cons: Y’all, it’s so obvious there was an argument over the name. Liquid Death was definitely hoping to call this “Cereal Killer” and Fruity Pebbles’ lawyers got scared and the compromise was the completely incomprehensible “Cereal Criminal.” Fruity Pebbles, why did you agree to work with the scary water company in the first place if you weren’t here to play ball? Get it together.

Where can I get my hands on this Fruity Pebbles flavored water?
You can snag a 6-pack of Cereal Criminal at Walmart while supplies last. When I found these in-store earlier this week, they were stocked right next to the Walmart exclusive “Deathberry Inferno” Strawberry Ghost Pepper sparkling water—what a combo! If you’d rather buy online and/or in bulk, 12-packs are available now on Amazon while supplies last.
