I have a confession to make: I hate the phrase “Sunday Funday.” I don’t know why. I’ve never liked it. No disrespect to anyone who uses it regularly or enjoys it – we’re all different – it’s just never sat right on my ear. Some people hate the word “moist.” For me? I can’t abide the rhyming inclination that Sundays should be full of joy (although in theory, I agree).

Well, Häagen-Dazs clearly does not care AT ALL about the fact that I’m not a fan of that phrase (and why should they?). The ice cream brand has just announced its Sundae Funday Club, and fans of its desserts will likely want to get involved.
The Sunday Fundae Club
Häagen-Dazs’ Sundae Funday Club is, it says in its press release, a “limited-time rewards experience designed to make Sundays even sweeter.” On every Sunday for the rest of July, both new and existing Häagen-Dazs Shops rewards members can avail of a BOGO deal on all three of its Sundae Series desserts in one of its stores.
And what is the Sundae Series, I hear you ask? Well, this is the fun bit! It’s a brand new collection from the brand, with three classic sundaes available now. They are:
- Caramel Cone Sundae: A combination of Caramel Cone ice cream (which contains chocolate-covered cone pieces and caramel swirls) with waffle cone pieces, and topped with warm caramel and whipped cream.
- Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Sundae: Strawberry ice cream, with strawberry pieces mixed through, is topped with hot fudge, whipped cream and – the crowning touch – a chocolate-covered strawberry.
- Hot Fudge & Caramel Sundae: This one has my mouth literally watering. Vanilla ice cream is topped with hot fudge, warm caramel, and candied pecans, and then hit with whipped cream and a premium cocktail cherry from Traverse City Whiskey Co. And how premium are we talking? Well, these cherries are “slow cooked, candied northern Michigan Balaton cherries known for their deep color and bold tart-sweet flavor,” says Häagen-Dazs. Say no more.
These three new options will be available through November 4, but that BOGO deal will run out in a couple of weeks – so plan your Sundays around your sundaes. You can sign up for the Sundae Funday club at its website, where you can also find your closest Ice Cream Shop.
What Else Has Häagen-Dazs Been Up To?
Well, in typical fashion, it’s been busy. 2026 has seen a constant stream of releases from the ice cream brand, with a new Dark Cherry Truffle pint and new ice cream bars. It also got involved (as everyone did) in the World Cup food game. This new BOGO offer, though, is maybe its funnest yet — although if you’re not near one of its Ice Cream Shops, you might be disappointed. Just as I was, when I heard what it was calling this deal. Oh well.
