Krispy Kreme Just Announced A Great July 4th Deal (Plus New Donuts) 

Something about summer is deeply reminiscent of doughnuts to me. Memories of hot summer nights at carnivals in a small town with a deli cup of homemade lemonade in hand and a paper bag of fresh-fried doughnuts in the other live in my head with the utmost fondness. If you round it all out with a late-night firework show, well then, I can’t think of a better night than that.

“Hot and Ready” is apparently how Krispy Kreme is approaching the upcoming festivities of summer and, most significantly, the Fourth of July. This year, for America’s 250th birthday, Krispy Kreme is bringing only the best of summer to their limited-time Fourth of July launch. The collection will include two new flavors, two returning favorites, and some big savings. 

What’s New  

USA Doughnut ― The USA doughnut is a Kreme filled doughnut with none of the traditional glaze Krispy Kreme is known for. It’s the only filled doughnut in the holiday lineup and it’s stuffed with the Krispy Kreme spin on the classic American flavor: Cookies n’ Kreme™. The doughnut’s dipped in red icing and adorned with stars and an edible USA decor piece. From the sounds of it, this one will be the winner of the collection. 

Firework Doughnut ― This new doughnut is a classic ring shape and glazed in the chain’s typical fashion. The donut is then dipped in royal blue vanilla icing, dusted with edible gold sprinkles, and topped with a firecracker sugar piece. It sounds plain in taste, but as far as Krispy Kreme goes, plain isn’t a bad starting place by any means. Plus, I’m sure it’ll be made up for in all its glitz and glamour. 

Deals ― For the 250th birthday of America, what sale would fit better for Krispy Kreme than a dozen of their classic glazed doughnuts, available for just $2.50? I can’t think of any. It’s kitschy and practical, just how I like it. This deal is only available from the 2nd through the 5th of July (how fitting), so you’ll be able to fulfill all your seasonal doughnut needs for an excellent price.  

Returning Favorites

Freedom Ring Doughnut ― This patriotic doughnut is built off a glazed donut base with white icing, blue and white sprinkle stars, and piped red stripes. I’ve never wanted to eat a flag before, personally, but I might try it out with this returning fan favorite.  

Chocolate Iced with Patriotic Sprinkles ― The final doughnut in this collection also has a base of the classic glazed ring donut. But this doughnut is dipped in chocolate icing (my personal favorite) and decorated with sprinkles of red, white, and blue. Classic, in fashion, and always a hit―these doughnuts won’t go un-eaten on the Fourth.  

Pandora’s American Box 

The festive doughnuts, when purchased in a dozen, are given to customers in the perfect thing to round out the collection: a fully custom holiday box. The boxes are colorful and have the phrase “Bring Fourth The Fun” printed on top.
