Krispy Kreme's World Cup Match Day Dozen Starts Tomorrow

Someone needs to give the team that plans and coordinates Krispy Kreme’s new menu items and offers a collective raise, because they’ve been working hard this year. We’ve not wanted for news out of the donut chain: Every few weeks, we’ve been hit with a new collection, limited-time item, or BOGO offer. In the last couple of weeks alone, it’s given out free donuts for National Donut Day and released its Masters of the Universe Collection, to mark the new Amazon MGM/Mattel movie’s release. It’s been busy.

And now it’s getting even busier – because the World Cup starts TOMORROW, and Krispy Kreme is not gonna be left out. Introducing its Match Day Dozen.

Krispy Kreme announced its new Match Day Dozen in a press release yesterday – which is very timely, considering that it goes on sale tomorrow, June 11, and is only available through Sunday, June 14. So, essentially, folks, you’re really gonna have to hop to it if you want to take advantage of this one. If you haven’t sorted your gameday grub yet, Krispy Kreme’s here to help.

But what is it offering? Well, the Match Day Dozen is a combo of old faves and new flavors. In each dozen, you get:

All-New Kickoff Doughnuts: A Cookies & Kreme-filled donut, which is dipped in green cookie dough icing and decorated with soccer field lines. It’s topped with a soccer ball piece. Y’know, just in case you didn’t know what it was all about. – an unglazed shell doughnut filled with Cookies & Kreme™, dipped in green cookie dough icing, and decorated with soccer field lines and a soccer ball piece.
All-New Soccer Rainbow Doughnuts: Krispy Kreme takes an Original Glazed doughnut and dips it in vanilla-flavored icing, sprinkles it with rainbow nonpareil sprinkles, and tops it with a flying soccer ball piece.
Original Glazed and Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles Doughnuts: These two need no introduction.

Is That All?

Is that all, they ask! Is that all! That is not all. From Thursday through Sunday, Krispy Kreme customers can also get an Original Glazed dozen for just $2! If you buy any dozen or 16-count Minis in one of its participating stores, that is. And, if you’re a Krispy Kreme Rewards member, when you purchase a dozen, you’ll be entered into a draw for a chance to win a Krispy Kreme soccer jersey. Merch-heads, this one’s for you.
