Welcome to Mythical Kitchen Picks, the series in which the culinary experts from Mythical Kitchen tell you all about their favorite foods and ingredients. This week, the team is ignoring the fact that it’s still technically summer, according to the calendars, and kicking off fall with their favorite fall foods—and drinks. Today, Lily Cousins urges you to reconsider your love of IPAs and try this fall-friendly milk stout beer.
Lily’s Pick: Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Milk Stout NITRO
OK, BEFORE YOU STOP READING BECAUSE YOU SAW, “STOUT” PLEASE GIVE ME A CHANCE! If you like Espresso Martinis, beer of any kind, or Reese’s (if you don’t like Reese’s, I give you permission to stop reading because we can’t be friends anymore), then you need to listen up.
For some reason, people are intimidated by stout beers, but they’re actually extremely smooth and rich. If you’re new to stouts or even new to beer, I recommend trying the Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Milk Stout. I can only drink one or maybe two in a sitting because it’s on the heavier side, but don’t let that scare you away. This stout is a sipper. It’s somehow refreshing, but also nutty and indulgent. If you’re looking for a poolside drink to cool you down, this ain’t it. If you’re looking for a fall, sit around the fire with your friends, wrapped up in a blanket, cozy as heck drink, then you’ve come to the right place, my friends. Like, I want to pour this beer into a whiskey glass and sit by the fireplace and pet my dog and pretend like I have a butler.
I get really upset when people are all, “I only drink West Coast IPAs.” If you’re a real beer drinker (I promise I’m not a pick me girl), you can understand that there are beers for different occasions. I’m drinking pilsners and lagers on the lake or at a tailgate; I’m drinking IPAs and ales at a cool new brewery or when I just want something super flavor forward; I’m drinking wheat beers all the time ‘cause they’re delicious; and I’m drinking the Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Milk Stout when I want to warm up on a cool, fall night. Anyway, just give this stout a chance. If you’re nervous because you had a Guinness once and didn’t like it, I promise this beer is not that. It’s so yummy, so please go get a six-pack and try for yourself!

This is the BEST Peanut butter stout in the COUNTRY. I’ve had approx a zillion PB stouts. This one is the JAM (pun intended).
Sporked, you are always so right!!!!
