Excelsior! Color-Changing Marvel OREOs Are Here

After 2024’s Star Wars OREO launch, it was only a matter of time before Disney’s superior franchise got the same treatment—and the time for Marvel OREOs is now. Yes, dozens of our favorite heroes and villains are about to have a Marvel Team-Up with milk’s favorite cookie. And if that wasn’t enough, OREO is also debuting a brand-new color-changing creme inside this “Stuf of Legends” collaboration. As a longtime True Believer, it’s an honor to stand on my own soapbox and spread the word about these marvelous new cookies.

How does the creme change color?

Folks, I have no idea. I read through every single piece of promotional material regarding the Marvel OREO cookies, and all I know is that the creme changes from gray to blue. (Shouldn’t they change from gray to green?) Rest assured, as soon as I get my hands on these cookies, I’ll report back with all the scientific details.

When can I get my hands on these shape-shifting super cookies?

Per the brand, Marvel OREO cookies will hit shelves nationwide on February 2nd, following an exclusive online presale starting January 26th. OREO is launching three collectible pack designs by Marvel Comics artist Todd Nauck in stores; a fourth design will be revealed in late February, following an online promotion where fans can help defend the delivery trucks from Marvel villains trying to spoil the fun.

Which mighty Marvel heroes and villains are appearing on these cookies?

Just like my old Marvel Encyclopedia, we’ll tackle these by franchise. The 32 cookie designs are not divided evenly—for good reason, since no one wants a Mole Man OREO. That means the ever-lovin’ Fantastic Four fanatics will have a tougher time finding cookies featuring Marvel’s First Family, while Spider-Man and Avengers fans will have a much easier time collecting their faves (as usual). And, despite the seemingly obvious color-changing correlation, we will not be seeing Mystique or Chameleon on any cookies this time around.
