Somewhere, a security camera just caught the X,000th woman placing a Monster Energy drink back on the shelf to pick up an Alani Nu. In a secret underground accounting laboratory, a market share meter just went from green to yellow. What will the shareholders think? Break the glass—it’s time to make Monster Energy for women.
Okay, maybe it didn’t go down quite like that. Regardless of how it started, the reality is this: Monster Beverage Corporation (the parent company of Monster Energy, which will get confusing) is launching a “woman-focused” brand of zero-sugar energy drinks called FLRT. Let’s hope this leans more Alani Nu and less Dr Pepper TEN.
Where did this information come from?
I first learned about FLRT Energy when Monster Energy had four cans on display back at NACS Expo. I asked when they’d be hitting shelves and they didn’t know what they were allowed to tell me. Within an hour, those cans had been pulled from display. Phooey.
Luckily, a little more information has come in since then. Earlier this month, Monster Beverage Corporation (again, not Monster Energy—Monster Beverage Corp owns and operates Monster Energy, NOS Energy, Full Throttle Energy, and more) held their third-quarter earnings call. At the end of that call, they announced FLRT would hit shelves in late Q1 2026.
What flavors will FLRT Energy launch in?
FLRT will launch in four flavors: Berry Tempting, Guava Lava, Strawberry Fling, and Sunset Squeeze. Cheesy names aside, three of those do point to a pretty obvious flavor concept. Sunset Squeeze is a little more oblique, but I’d put money on it being some sort of citrus flavor.
How much caffeine is in FLRT Energy?
Unfortunately, we don’t know the per-can total just yet. Considering what’s popular in the “zero sugar 12oz can” battlefield they’re entering, I’d expect this to be 200mg per can like Alani Nu and Celsius—but we could be surprised! Liquid Death is entering that same space very soon with just 100mg per can; we’ll just have to wait and see.
When will FLRT Energy hit shelves?
While that earnings call only revealed a rough timeline, one of my faithful Coca-Cola distribution sources sent over a calendar that revealed FLRT Energy’s release date. Per that calendar, we’ll see FLRT Energy officially hit shelves on March 16th, 2026. You know I’ll be reviewing the lineup ASAP—stay tuned to Sporked for everything caffeinated.
