Folks, we’ve got a litany of new Cheez-It varieties to talk about today. Over the next month, seven new flavors/formats/shapes of our favorite square cheese snack will be hitting shelves. There’s so much to talk about that we barely have time for an intro; let’s dig into the proverbial pantry and see what’s coming from Big Cheez.
Gluten-Free Cheez-It Crackers
First and foremost, the gluten-intolerant among us have something to celebrate. Yes, the Cheez-It scientists deep in the lab have finally cracked a gluten-free formula! While these were revealed last July, we’re finally getting our hands on them here in 2026. And here’s something to celebrate: These are priced the same as every other Cheez-It—no gluten-free upcharge here.
Cheez-It Ultimate Snack Mix
Gluten-free isn’t the only innovation coming down the line from Cheez-It H.Q.—we’re also getting four kinds of Cheez-It in one box. The days of buying multiple boxes just to make your own all-Cheez-It trail mix are over! Cheez-It Ultimate Snack Mix contains classic Cheez-Its, White Cheddar Cheez-Its, Double Cheese Cheez-It Snap’d, and Sharp White Cheddar Cheez-It Grooves. A consistent batch of flavors across multiple textures? Sign me up.
Cheez-It Snap’d Honey BBQ Crackers
Speaking of Snap’d, we’ve got a brand new variant of these super-light, baked, cracker-y chips: Honey BBQ. This sweet-and-smoky snack is packed with notes of honey, tomato, and hickory—not to mention the cheddar cheese base you expect from Cheez-It.
Cheez-It Grooves Loaded Nacho
And speaking of Grooves, these ridged crackers come to us with a mission: pack “white people taco night” into a single box. Cheez-It combined the flavors of toasted corn tortillas, taco seasoning, beef, and (of course) cheddar cheese into a single snack. I assume these are coated in the same seasoning blend as last year’s Cheesy Taco Cheez-Its, but I’m prepared to be surprised!
Cheez-It Crunch: Kick’n Nacho Cheese, Zesty Jalapeno Cheddar, and Sharp White Cheddar
Finally, we have a brand-new format launching in a trio of flavors. Cheez-It Crunch, as our own Gwynedd Stuart was bewildered by, are not crackers—they’re baked cornmeal “puffs,” a la Cheetos! While snack-sized bags were previewed at 7-Eleven a few months ago, this is the retail debut of the Cheez-It Crunch line in full-size bags. Are you excited for Cheez-It to follow their manifest destiny into the corn puff space? Let me know in the comments.
