Cheez-It Is Gauging Interest for These New Snacks

Amidst all of the crazy and exciting snack releases that have been hitting grocery shelves lately, occasionally snack and drink brands take to social media to run surveys and “take the temperature” on potential releases. (Sometimes the surveyed items don’t end up getting a release. Example: this line of float-inspired sodas from Pepsi. Sometimes they do end up getting a release. Example: Old El Paso and Totino’s instant ramen). A new brand has entered the new product survey ring: It’s Cheez-It! And they’re gauging interest on not one, not two, but three different product lines! 

Here are the new Cheez-It products that could find their way onto shelves: 

Cheez-It Extra Stuff’d Sandwich Crackers

These remind me of Lance Sandwich Crackers. Envisioning two Cheez-Its sandwiching a filling sounds very appealing to me. The description of the Extra Stuff’d Sandwich Crackers reads: “Introducing Cheez-It Extra Stuff’d Sandwich Crackers, made with a generous amount of smooth, creamy filling between two 100% real cheese Cheez-It crackers.” The three flavors mentioned in the survey include:

• Buffalo Ranch
• Jalapeno and Cheddar
• Cheddar and BBQ 

I’ve got to say that all three of those flavors sound absolutely phenomenal and this is DEFINITELY a product I’d love to see on shelves. 

Cheez-It Protein Crackers 

Sometimes good-tasting high protein snacks can be hard to come by—luckily Cheez-It is reportedly looking to get their foot in the door in the high protein market. The description for these reads: “Introducing Cheez-It Protein Crackers, the 100% real cheese crackers you love, with added protein for a delicious snack that’s more filling.” The flavors that are being surveyed for Protein Crackers include:

• Original
• White Cheddar
• Extra Toasty

Cheez-It Xtra Bold

In what seems to be Cheez-It’s attempt to get into the flavor blasting scene, Cheez-It Xtra Bold are described as “100% real cheese Cheez-It crackers baked and intensely seasoned for the cheesiest, most flavorful snacking experience.” Flavors being surveyed here include:

• Cheddar Explosion
• Spicy Nacho Inferno
• Smoky BBQ Blaze 

When and where will these new Cheez-Its be available?

As of now, these products are just being surveyed with consumers, and store releases are not yet planned. With that being said, if any of these products sound good to you, definitely reach out to the brand and let them know you’d like to see them! We may just see them on store shelves, just like the Old El Paso and Totino’s instant ramen cups.
