Less than a week later, the Girl Scouts of America revealed a brand new cookie launching as part of their 2026 lineup: Girl Scout Exploremores. And Alexander wept, for there were no more worlds to conquer. Let’s get into all the details on this new Girl Scout cookie that I spoke into existence on a whim.

What will Girl Scout Exploremores taste like?

Per the official announcement from the almighty GSUSA, this new sandwich cookie is “filled with delicious flavors of chocolate, marshmallow, and toasted almond–flavored crème.” This fits with the framing of this cookie as being rocky road ice cream flavored. I don’t know about you, but I’m all about ice cream flavored cookies. 

Do the Girl Scouts think this will make us forgive them for discontinuing Girl Scout S’mores?

Oh, no chance. While I am thrilled we’re getting a new sandwich cookie to replace the S’mores sandwich cookies that were discontinued at the end of the 2025 cookie season, my feelings can’t just be paved over with a shiny new cookie.

Hold on, I just checked—they absolutely can. For the record, I am personally and professionally forgiving the Girl Scouts of America for discontinuing one of the all-time greats to make room for this new dessert-flavored sandwich cookie. My loyalty is very easily bought.

How often do the Girl Scouts release new cookies?
