McDonald’s knows just when to shake up its menu. The start of the year is usually a busy time for the fast food monolith, as it seeks to drum up excitement for the months ahead by rolling out new menu items and collaborations that drive people into its restaurants. This time last year, McDonald’s introduced its new McValue menu to a lot of fanfare, and in January 2026, it’s clearly seeking to get tongues wagging again.

This year, as well as changing up its drive-thrus, McDonald’s is betting big on the Big Arch burger, finally gearing up to release it in the U.S. after it proved to be a draw overseas. Elsewhere, those fine folks at Golden Arches HQ are set to unveil a new sauce, “secret” items, and a partnership with a childhood favorite. Here’s everything we know about McDonald’s plans for 2026.

The Big Arch Burger Is Set to Arrive in U.S. Restaurants Soon

Arguably the most hotly anticipated menu item to arrive at the restaurant in a minute, the Big Arch looks all but confirmed for a drop at Mickey D’s in the United States in early 2026. The Daily Mail has reported that workers have caught wind of the burger’s debut, indicating that its arrival is pretty imminent.

This makes sense, given that the Big Arch is now tried-and-tested in various markets. McDonald’s locations in both Canada and the United Kingdom have had the burger on its menu, with the Big Arch recently made permanent in the UK.

This supersized sandwich is the overgrown brother of the Big Mac, and contains two four-ounce patties, three slices of white cheddar, crispy fried onions, and Big Arch sauce (which seems to be a more tomatoey version of Big Mac sauce). Weighing in at 14 ounces, it’s a beast of a burger. No news yet on exactly when it’s going to hit U.S. stores, but keep your eyes peeled during early March as, according to Snackwire, it’s due to arrive then.

Hot Honey Sauce and “Secret” Menu Items Are Other Big Draws for 2026

McDonald’s is buying into the hot honey craze that’s currently sweeping the nation (and the world). Snackwire also announced that McD’s will soon be debuting a Hot Honey Sauce, which can be ordered as a dip or in combination with other menu items. A Hot Honey McCrispy and a Hot Honey Snack Wrap have been slated so far, and if they’re a hit, we can expect to see more things spiced and sweetened.

McDonald’s is also capitalizing on the insatiable appetite for viral fast food hacks, and is due to release a new “secret” menu featuring all of its customers’ favorite creations. According to Fox 35, this menu could include the Chicken Cheeseburger, Chicken Big Mac, and an Apple Pie Mini McFlurry.

Finally, people who like their McDonald’s with a side of anime will be pleased to hear that the restaurant is due to reveal another Pokémon collab for the franchise’s 30th year, with another Happy Meal promotion that could contain four-packs of trading cards. No word yet on exactly when this promotion will run, but we’ll keep you in the loop, people.
