It was only yesterday (or, you know, late last year) that we were first covering the rumblings of Red Bull Spring Edition 2025. At that time, we believed the name would be “Pink Grapefruit & Woodruff,” and while that name may be accurate for certain countries, we’ve got a new name for it here in the states. Esteemed readers, let me introduce you to Red Bull Spring Edition 2025: Grapefruit & Blossom. (I guess they were scared Americans wouldn’t know what a woodruff was. They’re probably right.) What does it taste like? Is this new Red Bull flavor any good? Read on for our full review of the new Red Bull Spring Edition and Red Bull Spring Edition Sugarfree.

Pros: In my earliest coverage of this flavor, I guessed that it would have a “sweet, lightly floral grapefruit flavor.” Damn, did I nail that one. The “blossom” in this drink is ambiguously floral, but there’s no mistaking the grapefruit. The floral notes were enough to turn off the strongest of lavender/rose haters, but I didn’t have a problem with it. This new Red Bull flavor is pretty tart, but not as tart as the other new Red Bull flavor released recently: Pink Edition.
Cons: Grapefruit isn’t my favorite flavor in the world, so this didn’t have a strong chance of making it into my Best Red Bulls ever list. (Currently, that list consists of original, Coconut Berry, and Winter Edition 2024 aka Iced Vanilla Berry aka “When is this coming back for good?”). And this isn’t a real complaint, but if you pour this Red Bull into a cup, you may be just as surprised as I was to discover the liquid itself is a pale green in contrast to the purple of the can.

Pros: The grapefruit flavor is actually a little stronger in the sugar-free version. I have a feeling this is intentional to try to cover up the artificial sweetener flavor. (Not everyone can be Alani Nu with their supernatural ability to disguise sugar alternatives.) Still, the Sugarfree Red Bull diehards in my life were pleasantly surprised with this new offering.
Cons: My girlfriend remarked, “It tastes like a grapefruit with some Sweet’n’Low on it.” and I’m having a really hard time refuting any part of that. But if you like grapefruit, I think you’ll like this one more than me.

Where can I find this new Red Bull Spring Edition for myself?
As of right now, the new Red Bull Spring Edition has been spotted at multiple Walmarts nationwide. While this flavor isn’t a Walmart exclusive, they are reliably the easiest and earliest place to find any new Red Bull flavor. Over the next few weeks, you should see this flavor start to pop up anywhere that regularly sells seasonal Red Bull variants: gas stations, convenience stores, grocers, and e-sports arenas. (Is that last one just me? My local e-sports place has a crazy energy drink selection.)
