New Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream Zero Sugar Is Really Good (for a Zero Sugar Soda)

*Puts on TV narrator voice* Previously on Sporked…I tried Pepsi’s brand new permanent flavor, Wild Cherry & Cream and, spoiler alert, I was absolutely blown away. One of the top comments I always get when I report on a new soda flavor is, “Is there a zero sugar version?” Thankfully, the Pepsi gods have graced us with a zero sugar version of Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream, so today we’re giving that a shot to see if it stacks up against the full sugar version!

New Zero Sugar Pepsi!

Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream Zero Sugar

Pros: My biggest fear with a zero sugar soda is the aftertaste. But the vanilla flavor in this zero sugar Pepsi flavor absorbs the aspartame flavor in the aftertaste. Can you tell it’s a zero sugar soda? Of course. But I don’t think it has that harsh aftertaste that many zero sugar sodas have. Plus, the cherry flavor is a little bit stronger in this iteration than it is in the full sugar version. This is definitely one of the better zero sugar sodas I have had in quite some time.

Cons:
I’m a little bit disappointed that the vanilla flavor is more muted in the zero sugar version than in the full sugar version. It’s a bit of a bummer. But if you are a zero sugar soda drinker and you like cherry and vanilla, I definitely recommend seeking this one out and giving it a try!
