While Mountain Dew gets all of the fun flavors, Pepsi is no stranger to innovation (we all remember Crystal Pepsi). They came out with two new flavors this year—Pepsi Lime and Pepsi Peach—and we’re hearing there’s yet another new Pepsi flavor on the way. And it sounds like it’s a little bit inspired by a certain newish Dr Pepper flavor.
They’re making Dr Pepsi?!
Well, okay, no. They’re not making Pepsi inspired by Dr Pepper original. But they are making a new fruity Pepsi that has something in common with a couple of Dr Pepper flavors: cream! We’ve seen Dr Pepper Strawberries & Cream as well as Dr Pepper Creamy Coconut. And now we’re getting (drumroll please) Pepsi Cherries & Cream!
When can I get this new Pepsi flavor? And where?
Fear not, dear reader! The release is not too far in the future. Pepsi Cherries & Cream is slated to drop in January 2025 (when, coincidentally, Dr Pepper is dropping a new flavor of their own). It won’t be exclusive to any one store, so you should be able to find it anywhere the brand is sold!
Sources say it should be available in both cans and bottles, and we’ve also learned from sources that Pepsi is taking a little bit of an interesting approach with this drop.
Interesting in what way? Are they giving it away for free?
Okay, maybe not THAT interesting. Our sources tell us that while Pepsi Cherries & Cream will be available in both full sugar and zero sugar formulas, that each one is receiving a different treatment. Full sugar is ONLY getting 20 oz bottles for an eight-week limited time run. On the other hand, zero sugar is ONLY getting 12-pack cans and it will be a permanent addition to the Pepsi lineup! So if you’re a full sugar drinker you might want to stock up, but if you’re a zero sugar drinker, it’s time for a celebration!
