Red, White And Blue Fruit Roll-Ups Are Dropping In Stores, For All Your July 4 Needs

Trust us when we say that there are a lot of red, white and blue foods coming out this year – and we mean a lot. It’s not just any old July 4 this year, after all: It’s the 250th one, and you’d better believe that food and drinks companies are making the most of that fact. In the last week or so alone, we’ve had Dunkin’ dropping a new red, white and blue summer menu, Ocean Spray bringing out a patriotic popping candy and cranberry mix, and Mountain Dew’s new America pack hitting shelves. And we have no doubt that there’ll be more to come, even as we inch ever closer to the big day itself.

As we sit back and wait for those new foods to roll in, though, we’ve got another one for ya: Spar-Spangled Cherry Fruit Roll-Ups. And they’re available right now. Here’s what you need to know. 

Celebrate Independence Day With Long, Fruit-Flavored Candy

The existence of Star-Spangled Cherry Fruit Roll-Ups was confirmed by @candyhunting a couple of weeks back, with the prolific food blogger giving everyone a sneak peek of what was to come. We can now confirm that they have well and truly landed in stores, and you can find ‘em at places like Walmart. Now, we should point out that this isn’t a fully new Fruit Roll-Up release: Star-Spangled Cherry Fruit Roll-Ups have been here before, but given the gravity of the 250th anniversary year, they feel just that bit more special. Oh, and they’re in a new box this year, too. So, there’s that.

So, what can you expect from this one? Well, each box has 30 rolls in it, with all of them made without any artificial sweeteners or colors from artificial sources. If they taste the same as the Star-Spangled Cherry Fruit Roll-Ups that have come out in previous years, then they’ll be a hit: Reviews from the 2025 release at Walmart are overwhelmingly positive, with some people calling this snack their favorite of all Fruit Roll-Up flavors. 

And That’s Not All…

Along with the confirmation that Star-Spangled Cherry Fruit Roll-Ups are on the way back, @candyhunting also revealed that red, white and blue Fruit By The Foot Splitz are also headed to stores. The Splitz are coming in Berry Blast and Star Spangled Strawberry flavors, with each one joined together with a white half that keeps them very on theme.

Think about it: A sparkler in one hand, a fruit roll-up in the other. Isn’t that what the Founding Fathers wanted?
