Sonic Just Released a Tasty New Snack Wrap

As inflation continues to rise, we’ve seen people going out to eat less. We feel you―restaurants feel like they should be special occasions only now because it’s just getting a little too expensive to eat out regularly. It’s rough out there and brands are taking notice. Sonic has made it their mission to start delivering good food for less in a time when prices are high. We’ve already reported on their new $1.99 menu and meal deal. But they weren’t content to stop there.

And It’s Actually A Value Menu

Value menus are slowly but surely going out like the dinosaurs. Even when they’re technically still around, chains can be a little sneaky about honoring their value menu promises. But Sonic is releasing a new item for the $1.99 menu. And if they’re adding one now, they’re certainly going to continue to add to it in the future. It may not be the dollar menu of old, but a $1.99 snack is a good deal.

This new item is a Garlic Parmesan Ranch Crispy Tender Wrap. It’s a crispy chicken tender with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and garlic parmesan sauce all wrapped in a soft flour tortilla. It sounds like a real winner to us. Am I just biased because it’s parmesan garlic? Maybe, but you can’t beat a warm snack under $2 these days, no matter the ingredients.

Why We’re Excited

The addition of this new wrap could mean a new line of wraps are in the works or that the flavors are going to be added to other menu items. Single menu items typically foretell something bigger coming. Brands love to gauge reactions first before going big. We wouldn’t be surprised if Sonic had some bigger release that ties into this snack wrap in the near-ish future. 

In the meantime, we’re content to try a new snack while we pick up a fun drink. Or you can check out their July 4th slush for a real deal. Snack and a drink for under $6? We feel like it’s the ’90s again. Not really, the internet is still way better. But a cheap and delicious snack is hard to come by, so we’ll take it.
