This is what Costco was made for―big celebrations and supporting a company that actually cares about their customers and the country. It really doesn’t get better than this. Costco’s going to make sure that we’re doing it right. Get ready for all the alcohol, bountiful stacks of meat, and frozen treats to keep you cool that you should be grabbing at Costco for the Fourth of July.

Kirkland Signature Beef Dinner Franks

The traditional preparation for a Costco hot dog is by boiling it. I hold that pretty close to my heart. I will forgive everyone getting them for the Fourth because it just feels right to grill everything up for the festivities. These are some whoppers, so you won’t need many packs to feed an army.

Kirkland Signature Seasoned St. Louis Ribs

We went with a classic for our first meat option for our July 4th party so we should get extra festive with the second. Ribs are undoubtedly the best meat, but they’re a pain and a half to make yourself. Grab a rack of seasoned and ready-to-eat St. Louis ribs from the deli section. Matter of fact, while we’re already in the area we might as well grab a rotisserie chicken or two for our own bellies, too.

Heinz Classic Variety Pack

Costco seems to rotate between two Heinz condiment variety packs. This one with BBQ sauce and another with relish. I really couldn’t tell you the methodology for when they switch them out, but I kind of like this choice better for our Fourth of July party. The added BBQ sauce will be helpful for adding a smidge of oomph to the ribs. Your ribs can never be saucy enough.

Lesser Evil Organic Snacks Variety Pack

The same logic applies here for a July 4th gathering. A variety pack of chips, instead of one big Costco-sized bag, is best for the party ahead. Lesser Evil’s snack pack gives a bit more variety beyond regular chips too. Inside you’ll get cheese balls, crunchy cheese sticks (Cheetos), and Moonions (think Funyuns). These are made with avocado and coconut oil though, so you’ll get a little healthier chip than you’d normally find.

Reser’s Classic Potato Salad

If you’re from Minnesota you probably have a go-to Snickers salad recipe (a monstrous mixture of vanilla pudding, chopped up Snickers, apples, and Cool Whip). I try to shun that part of my past, so let’s grab a regular potato salad to bring to a Fourth of July gathering instead. It adds a little brightness to the plate but is still more exciting than a serving of asparagus or something.

High Noon Vodka Cocktail Variety Pack

Let’s wash everything down on July 4th with something that’ll get you tipsy! This is a celebration, after all. Beer is the obvious choice, but I much prefer a hard seltzer variety pack because it feels a little more hydrating (whether or not they actually are is up for debate). Everyone at the party can also grab their favorite flavor instead of just the flavor “beer.” Costco makes their own seltzers, but High Noon is one of our favorites so let’s get these instead.

GoodPop Cherry and Lemonade Fruit Pops

Cooling and festive for the Fourth! Technically, these GoodPop fruit pops aren’t exactly Rocket Pop flavored (they’re missing the blue raspberry). That’s a little confusing considering they do have a blue layer. Nonetheless, they’re red, white, and blue so they’re ideal for July 4th. You’ll have to get a little crafty on how to keep these both frozen and accessible to guests, but I’ll trust you with that task. I’ve done the heavy lifting thus far!
