Walmart’s Bettergoods Line Is Getting New Ice Creams, And We Can’t Keep Up

Walmart, you need to give your entire Bettergoods department (if it is indeed a department steering the ship on it) a raise, because they have been busy this year – and knocking it out of the park every time. The store’s slightly-more-premium-than-Great-Value line has undergone a significant refresh this year, with new pizzas, new meal kits, new snacks, new butters, new spreads, new mac and cheeses, new desserts…new everything, really. And it’s not done yet! Christmas is just around the corner – it’ll be here before we all know it – and Bettergoods has started to lean in, with a few new ice creams.

Well, new ice creams, and new ice cream bites. And they all sound really good. Let’s discuss.

New Bettergoods Ice Creams

First up, the new ice creams. According to @candyhunting, the internet’s main authority on Bettergoods releases, Walmart customers are about to see two new tubs hit their freezer sections:

• Peppermint Dream Ice Cream: Christmas has come early with this one. Sugar cookie ice cream, with sweet pink peppermint swirls and fudge ribbons. I always blow a little hot and cold on mint ice cream, but this one sounds varied enough to keep everyone interested. 
• Spiced Apple Pie Ice Cream: A slightly more fall-focused option here, Bettergoods Spiced Apple Pie flavor combines sea salt caramel ice cream with cinnamon-spiced apples and pie crust pieces. The kind of thing you’d steal from a windowsill as it was gently cooling. 

New Bettergoods Ice Cream Bites

And to the bites! If spooning ice cream up isn’t your thing, eat it like truffles instead, with these two new ice cream bite flavors:

• Peppermint Ice Cream Bites: Once again, we fall into a Christmassy feel, this time with peppermint ice cream covered in a chocolaty coating studded with peppermint pieces.
• Hot Cocoa Ice Cream Bites: Cold cocoa? Sure. Chocolate ice cream encased in a chocolaty coating, with mini marshmallow pieces on top. This one has already been getting some buzz with customers, and while I do think heat is an essential part of the equation when it comes to this drink, I see what they’re going for. 

So far, as with a lot of Bettergoods’ other releases this year, people are excited about these new seasonal flavors – but they’re taking a sec to show up in stores across the country, apparently. Have faith: Like Father Christmas himself, they’ll be arriving soon. You just have to believe.
