It is not a good time for Goop right now. I won’t get into the details, but their founder is up to no good. Granted, I had my doubts about her since she released that nefarious candle a few years ago. All the signs were there. Coincidentally, the brand seems to be releasing a new product that can hopefully turn their reputation around. This week, the team behind Goop Kitchen is releasing a line of new chicken sausages that sound pretty promising.

Launch Project Sausage!
Formally, it’s called The Sausage Project, but I imagine the previous phrase was used in their war room―saved only in times like these where good public relations are at a premium. The Sausage Project is a chef-crafted, better-for-you chicken sausage brand that’s rolling out nationally at Walmart. Just in time to save the day? The timing is too good on this one. It’s also just in time for Father’s Day and the 4th of July, so I’ll put my tinfoil hat away.
The Sausage Project aims to give sausages the Goop treatment. All natural ingredients, healthy for you―and bucking their usual―is actually price-conscious! We love to see a brand get with the times. The lineup for their launch includes three flavors: classic roasted chicken sausage, Italian herb chicken sausage, and melty cheddar sausage.
Four High Quality Sausages For $7
It’s unfair to compare everything to the unbeatable $1.50 hot dog combo at Costco, but I just can’t help myself. It’s how I frame all wiener related things in my life. Less than $2 a link is still a heck of a good deal! The Sausage Project also has a lot more bells and whistles than a Costco dog. Each sausage making their way to Walmart has 12 grams of protein per link and they’re lower in fat than the average sausage―but with the same classic snap, juiciness, and bold flavor you’d expect a sausage to have.
Why These Are So Convenient
Convenience seems to have been at the forefront when the Goop masters were working up in the kitchen. The sausages can be cooked up in four minutes so you can make them right after you get up in the morning or heat them for a quick dinner. I think the flavors also speak to having some flexibility in mind, too. Imagine having a plate of eggs alongside one of the melty cheddar links or pairing the Italian herb with a heaping plate of spaghetti.
The Sausage Project is already well underway. You can expect to see these stocked at your local Walmart starting today. If you don’t have a Walmart nearby, their online tracker also shows them in stock at plenty of other grocery stores as well.
