Well, we’ve talked a lot about Aldi this month. It’s easy to see why. It’s just a nice store to go to right away when you need to get groceries for the week. You’re able to get enjoyable options at a completely reasonable price (a rarity on both fronts these days). While you may not be able to get specialty ingredients for a tricky recipe, at least you won’t be disappointed with what you can find when you head to Aldi. To help you figure out what to get in the endless sea of options, here are the best finds from Aldi this month that I could pull together.

Sundae Shoppe Lemon Ice Cream Sandwiches
I’ll get this out of the way now. These are technically listed as sold out online. I personally blame this Reddit thread from a week ago where people were absolutely gushing over them. They’re so good that multiple people mentioned eating the whole box in one night. I understand the appeal. Head to your local Aldi ASAP to see if you can snag the last box before they’re officially gone!
Sundae Shoppe Birthday Cake Gelato
Aldi recently released a birthday cake flavor of their Sundae Shoppe gelato and people were going bonkers over it! We took notice of the buzz and gave our thoughts on the new flavor earlier this month. Funnily enough, this one’s also listed as out of stock on Aldi’s website. For what it’s worth, that’s an improvement on the last time we looked at this flavor. It didn’t even have a listing on the site at that point!
Benton’s Original Aussie Style Chocolate Coated Wafer Cookies
Aldi’s Aussie style wafer cookies (aka Tim Tam dupes) have people in a tizzy. There was an entire Reddit thread posted earlier this month where the original poster was trying to gaslight people into thinking they’re terrible. After starting the entire thing off by posting about them in the first place. If they’re good enough to gatekeep then they’re good enough for us!
Benton’s Hazelnut Biscuits
In another test of self control, Aldi’s hazelnut biscuits from Benton’s have people heated. Many people flooded the Reddit thread on these to confirm they are indeed binge worthy. They added in tips to make them even better (thanks for making them even more delicious, I guess) including both freezing them and heating them up and serving alongside some ice cream. What I’m gathering is these are incredibly worth getting so make sure you grab them from Aldi on your next trip.
Specially Selected Brioche Hot Dog Buns
This month we tried one of Aldi’s new releases, the Specially Selected brioche hot dog buns. Sporked contributor Ashley Theirin found them to be an overall solid choice for your next cookout: “It’s a rich bun without being too sweet, adding a nice roundness to your dog of choice.” I’m forever jaded by the bread selections at Trader Joe’s, so it’s nice to see Aldi get a good option to grab instead.
