Krispy Kreme’s Bringing Out An All-New Item For Fall

Krispy Kreme is really going for it this fall. It’s not like the doughnut chain is shy and retiring any other time of the year, but when the leaves start to tumble to the ground, it really ramps things up – and throughout September it’s been busier than we’ve seen it in a minute. It’s been bringing out new fall doughnuts (Apple Cider Original Glazed, in case you were wondering), launching football deals, and bringing back fan favorites, all within a few days of each other. And it’s not done yet.

That’s right: Krispy Kreme has one more fall release for us. Churro fans will like this one. 

Krispy Kreme Churro Doughnut Dots

Yesterday, Krispy Kreme announced that it’s debuting new Churro Doughnut Dots to celebrate the first day of fall, so it says in its press release (which, astronomically, is today, September 22 – happy First Day of Fall, everyone!). These new dots will take Krispy Kreme’s version of a doughnut hole and toss them in cinnamon sugar, and serve them with a dulce de leche dipping sauce. Each order will have eight Churro Doughnut Dots. 

It all sounds very delicious, doesn’t it? Unfortunately, we don’t have any customer reviews because these Churro Doughnut Dots are being released today(!), and will only be available for a limited time – so we’ll find out whether Krispy Kreme has stuck the landing in due course. It’s worth mentioning that it’s not the first time it’s featured churro flavors on its menu, though. Far from it. Previously, the chain has offered its ChurrDough Collection and a Caramel Churro Doughnut. While customers generally found that these tasted pretty good, the texture wasn’t quite there for some people (ie., they didn’t have the proper, deep-fried crunch you get from a churro). But hey, if you like cinnamon and dough, you’ll probably like these dots. 

It’s Churro Season

Looks like churros are back on the menu, folks. Along with these new doughnut dots from Krispy Kreme, we recently received word that Costco was reviving its twisted churro, and it looks like it’s about to drop imminently. This will be music to the ears of everyone who didn’t quite gel with its churro sundae (which was most people, to be totally honest). Back at Krispy Kreme, meanwhile, Churro Doughnut Dots will be available at participating stores via every method of pickup and delivery. Get them before the scent of cinnamon wafts away on the breeze.
