You may know Bibigo from their most popular item in the grocery store frozen aisle: frozen wontons. Those tiny, undeniably delish wonton bites might be the brand’s original claim to fame, but I’ll tell you straight away that Bibigo has a whole lineup of amazing products to offer. From classic Korean dumplings and frozen spring rolls to new innovations that literally took our breath away (because, duh, we were shoving them down our throats), we have a lot to cover in this ranking of the best Bibigo products. So let’s get into it.
How we conducted our taste test of all the Bibigo products
If you watch the video below, you’ll see most of Sporked’s taste testers in action. I prepared each Bibigo product myself and sat behind the camera, trying them off-screen. For single-serve frozen meals, I opted to microwave them, since that’s how the majority of folks will eat them. For dumplings, I pan-seared them on the stove to get a crispy wrapper. For other Bibigo appetizers, like spring rolls and crispy dumpling bites, that’s where our brand-spankin’-new air fryer came to the rescue.
I’ll tell you right away: I had a hard time picking the order for this ranking. The best Bibigo products are all operating on a pretty equal level of excellence. If there’s a product on this list that sounds interesting to you, don’t worry about where it lands. Just go out and buy it. Seriously. It’s worth the freezer space. Dumplings, wontons, noodles, appetizers—it’s hard to go wrong with Bibigo, and we say that with our full chests, (sadly) unsponsored by the brand. (Sponsor us, Bibigo!!! Please!!)

- Bibigo Mandu Bulgogi Chicken Dumplings
-
It feels like a crime to put these chicken bulgogi dumplings last, but here we are. Bibigo’s frozen mandu (aka, Korean dumplings that, in this case, resemble popular pan-fried dumplings you’ll find at most Southeast Asian restaurants) are pretty spectacular, if I do say so myself. Their dumpling wrappers are really thin, but still sturdy, and molded with a lovely flourish at the top that immediately makes them stand out against other brands of frozen dumplings. The bulgogi flavor here is more subtle, not overly sweet or aggressively sauced, which I actually appreciate. In general, I think more people will prefer their classic pork and chicken mandu over this, but if you’re looking for something different to try, definitely pick these up.

- Bibigo Beef Japchae & Chicken Japchae Noodles
-
I know we’re still near the bottom of the ranking, but let it be known that Bibigo’s frozen japchae is pretty stunning. Japchae personally isn’t my go-to Korean noodle dish, but if you love it, you have to try this. The slippery glass noodles in a fragrant sesame sauce hold up beautifully in the microwave—they’re chewy, bouncy, and glossy, like a L’Oréal commercial. This is definitely a meal where the veggies aren’t just there for decoration, which is both a positive note and a warning, in case you don’t love the texture of bell pepper skins. I don’t think a better frozen japchae exists in U.S. grocery stores, to be honest. (Also, if you’re torn between the chicken and beef versions, the bulgogi beef version has a touch more flavor than the chicken, but both are still good.)

- Bibigo Mini Wontons Pork & Vegetable Dumplings
-
Party hack: Take the big bag of Bibigo’s pork wontons, sauté them in a giant pan (or throw them in the air fryer, your choice), and toss them in a serving bowl with a few different variations of dumpling sauce on the side. Perhaps a tad unconventional for finger food, but no one’s going to complain when they taste them. Sporked editor-in-chief Justine Sterling describes their savory flavor as “gentle,” and she’s right on point. They’re addictive on their own, but work best as a blank slate for sauce—or, more obviously, boiled in a wonton soup. These would be higher on the list if Bibigo’s cilantro chicken wontons didn’t also exist… and we’ll get to those soon, don’t worry.

- Bibigo Mandu Pork & Vegetable Dumplings
-
It’s criminal that Bibigo’s pork vegetable mandu dumplings aren’t among the top three best Bibigo products to buy, and that should tell you a lot about the caliber of this brand’s line-up. Per every accolade I’ve given them in our frozen dumplings ranking (where they sit nice and pretty at #2), these plump, tightly wrapped dumps are bursting with flavor. They have the same elegant wrapper as the chicken mandu, but with a more classic, savory, juicy, leek-infused filling that everyone will love.

- Bibigo Vegetable Spring Rolls
-
If you watch our unedited taste test, you’ll see us get really, really excited about these spring rolls. I penned our last frozen spring roll update, so I know what’s out there—and these might be our new #1 best spring rolls going forward. We cooked them in the air fryer, which helped give their delicate wrappers a perfect restaurant-quality crispness. The filling is packed with jicama, edamame, carrots, cabbage, sweet potato, bamboo shoots, leeks, and green and red onion. Plus, you can buy these in a huge box, which is exactly the level of commitment these deserve.

- Bibigo Spicy Sauced Dumplings
-
When it comes to the next viral East Asian dishes, Bibigo has its fingers on the pulse. These are small, softly boiled dumplings filled with veggies, pork, and glass noodles, all swimming in a hot pepper paste sauce. Not to get too city girl on you, but they’re the closest thing I’ve seen to what is inarguably the best menu item at the popular Taiwanese restaurant chain Din Tai Fung. Maybe you could find something like this at an Asian grocery store, but from a brand that’s available at places like Walmart and Dollar Tree, this feels ahead of the curve. Before microwaving, we also recommend tossing bok choy, spinach, or edamame on top, letting it steam and soak up the sauce. YUM!

- Bibigo Fully Cooked Chicken & Cilantro Mini Wontons
-
Bibigo’s bite-sized cilantro chicken wontons taste clean. Which is a weird way to start a glowing review of a food product. But every time I have these, it’s my first thought: somehow, these lightly savory mini-dumplings taste…refreshing? Citrusy, like lemongrass. The point is, you’re not going to find anything like them in the freezer aisle. My colleague Jordan Myrick uses these for their homemade miso soup (genius). I just like to fry them with chili oil and toss them in stir fried noodles. I don’t think you can go wrong here. Unless you have the cilantro gene. In which case, my condolences.

- Bibigo Crispy Dumpling Bites Spicy Chicken & Vegetable
-
In 2022, the K-drama Business Proposal made its debut on Netflix. Audiences hailed it as one of the best modern Korean romcom TV shows to come out in a decade—and it was sponsored, in part, by Bibigo. By sponsored, I’m not talking about clunky product placement or shoe-horned dialogue. The main characters actually worked at Bibigo. It was genius. Creative. Immersive. As a brand, I didn’t think Bibigo could do anything better than that, to be honest. Until I tried their Spicy Chicken & Vegetable Crispy Dumpling Bites. Guys. These are fucking magical. First of all, they’re stuffed to the brim with shredded chicken, cabbage, glass noodles, green onions, and sauce. Second, the fried dumpling wrapper is so crispy-crunchy out of the air fryer, your first bite will literally catch you off guard. If something like this ever gets served at a fast food chain, cars would be lining up down the street. My only gripe is that I wish they came in a giant bag, and not a single serving, but that just speaks to the depth of my adoration.

- Bibigo Chicken Wonton Soup
-
Bibigo really is that girl. A trendsetter, a go-getter. They’re making popular East Asian appetizers and meals available to the average American consumer at a faster rate than other brands, and they’re doing it well. Case in point: this fragrant, lightly savory, surprisingly spicy wonton soup. It’s nearly impossible to find wonton soup in the freezer aisle, and you’re telling me I can find this at Walmart now? For under $4? I almost wish I had the flu, just so I could eat this and let it heal me. I’ll admit: It’s not an exact replica of your standard take-out wonton soup, which has a thinner, clearer broth. This broth is closer to a canned chicken soup, but with plump, soft wontons instead of noodles. As a team, we loved this. It’s our undisputed #1 best Bibigo product out there right now, and we’ll yell it from the rooftops.

I think the Mandu Spicy Pork & Vegetable Dumpling would have been another 10/10. That’s my favorite frozen dumpling from any brand. Bibigo is great overall. It’s hard to go wrong with Bibigo.
Just finished the video. Read your article and will be making some purchases at target later today. I’ve never considered this brand before.
I cant tell you how often I’m at the grocery store looking up Sporked rankings based on the items I’m buying. Thank you!
