Sporked Awards: Best Ice Cream of 2024

I’m wrapping up my first year at Sporked, and let me tell you, I have never eaten more ice cream in my entire life. While some people on the team have very strong opinions about how ice cream should taste (like my colleague Jordan Myrick, who firmly believes that “ice cream without mix-ins is idiotic”), I have trouble taking a hard stance. That said, I know greatness when I taste it. And as we look back on our two favorite ice creams from 2024, that’s really all that matters. So grab a spork, and let’s dig in.

Magnum Double Raspberry Ice Cream Bars

Runner Up

Magnum Double Raspberry Ice Cream Bars

Maybe it’s because I associate the word “Magnum” with a product that has nothing to do with dessert. Maybe it’s because you can’t get a sexier flavor combo than tangy raspberry and rich dark chocolate. Or maybe it’s because these ice cream bars, with their tart, fresh-tasting raspberry sauce, creamy raspberry ice cream, and thick dark chocolate shell, are flat-out irresistible. Whatever the reason, Magnum Double Raspberry Ice Cream Bars have seduced us, body and soul. If loving these bars is wrong (it’s not), we don’t want to be right (we are).

Tillamook Campfire Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream (Limited Edition)

Winner

Tillamook Campfire Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream

This one feels special, guys. And that’s because we have our readers to thank for putting it on our radar. We dug into this extra creamy, campfire s’mores-inspired ice cream in one of our unedited taste test videos where we ate everything you told us to try, and we couldn’t get enough of it. Here’s a brief summary of what’s so incredible about it: The toasted marshmallow ice cream actually tastes like toasted marshmallow, and the texture is so uniquely fluffy. It’s like tasting a decadent marshmallow cloud. The fudge swirl and tiny peanut butter cups add just the right amount of bitter chocolate and nutty peanut butter to offset the sweetness of the base. We honestly can’t understand why this flavor is limited edition. (Tillamook, can we talk? Please?) In the meantime, if you can’t find this, you can try some of our other favorite Tillamook ice cream flavors.
