We love keeping an eye on what fast food chains are doing in other countries, and the recent releases from franchises in the Philippines have been seriously piquing our interest. In the last few weeks, we’ve seen that Popeyes has released an entire Nutella menu in its Philippines-based stores, and that Krispy Kreme Philippines has collab’ed with SpongeBob on a bunch of darling donuts that almost look too good to eat. Now, Burger King Philippines has put out a Mandalorian & Grogu menu, and honestly – we’re jealous.

That jealousy is heightened by the fact that not only does it look good, but it looks way cooler than the one released in the US. Let’s check out what BK Philippines is serving, and how it compares to the US version.
For a Limited Time Only, Black and Green Burger Buns
Burger King Philippines revealed its new Mandalorian & Grogu menu on its Instagram and website, and it’s compact but effective. There are two new burgers up for grabs: The Galaxy Burger and the Grogu’s Bounty Crispy Chicken Burger. The first is made with a flame-grilled patty, cheese, bacon, onion rings, vegetables, and (the crowning touch) a Sweet Wasabi sauce. The second is constructed with a crispy chicken thigh, cheese, veggies, and a Hot Chili BBQ sauce.
Oh, sorry, we forgot to mention: The Galaxy Burger is served in a black bun, and the Bounty Crispy Chicken Burger has a green bun. So, there’s that.
Do They Actually Taste Any Good?
Yes, they do. One customer reviewed the new menu on Reddit, and while they weren’t blown away by the Galaxy Burger (although they still called it “pretty good”), the Grogu’s Bounty Crispy Chicken Burger was a winner. “This is the one to get. The chili BBQ sauce is just so good,” they said. The only note they had for BK was that they wanted the chicken to be a bit crunchier, but hey—you can’t win ‘em all.
How Does This Menu Compare to the US One?
Well, it’s fair to say that the Burger King US Mandalorian & Grogu menu has more options. You’ve got a BBQ Bounty Whopper made with a creamy BBQ sauce, garlic chicken fries, cheddar ranch tots, a new cookie shake, and four collectible cups. However, there are two glaring omissions here, which is a lack of black and green buns.
It should be said that we’re well aware of Burger King’s history with black buns (the infamous Halloween burger that caused some, shall we say, side effects lives long in the memory), but so far, there don’t seem to be any gastrointestinal consequences from BK Philippines’ new sandwich. Maybe that’s what’s holding the US menu back, though. Who knows?
