Coca-Cola is not afraid to innovate and we are not afraid to try pretty much everything they make. Over the years, and especially over the most recent, maybe most wildly inventive ones, we’ve tasted everything from the semi-dreamy Orange Cream to the oddly successful K-Wave Coke Zero. We’ve found some Ricola-notes in Coca-Cola Spiced and actual Raspberry S’mores lurking in the mysterious fizzy depths of Coca-Cola’s Starlight flavor.

We’ve also tried the Coca-Cola Cherry Float earlier this year―and found it to be “a sweeter, creamier take on the tried-and-true Cherry Coke formula.” The main drawback of that (otherwise successful) soda? It tasted too much like classic (beloved) Cherry Coke. Lucky for us, soda-suckers that we are, Coke’s at it again―trying to make a new berry flavor float in 2027.
Get Ready For Some Sparkling Strawberry
That’s right. The new Float flavor will be Strawberry, slated to come out sometime in the late spring (possibly May) of 2027. To be honest, we’re hoping it’s on the earlier side, since strawberries really are more in season a bit earlier, but also because we absolutely want to try it.
Our intel comes from @sodaseekers, who posted the major details as well as mock-ups of the bottle (which, to be honest, aren’t as whimsical as we’re hoping the actual bottles will be). Oh, and as for that float flavor―per our Cherry Float review, it’s exactly what you’d guess―a creaminess added to the cola, fruity soda base. (As if ice cream had melted into the cola.)
Second Strawberry Time’s A Charm?
Here’s the funny thing: they’ve kind of tried this before. Like, earlier this year. In Canada. It was called the Creamy Strawberry Coke, a strawberries & cream flavor released exclusively in the Canadian market as part of the “dirty-fication” of soda and, perhaps unshockingly, not very well received. Of course, the issue there might have been the cold foam on the Canadian Creamy Strawberry Coke. As one reviewer noted, “watching the cream split and turn chunky was off putting.”
Another reviewer of that same Canadian cousin to next year’s Strawberry Float flavor said the strawberry flavor there was too artificial tasting―but again, this may well be an entirely different formulation. For instance, like its Cherry Float predecessor, the Coca-Cola Strawberry Float won’t be served with any cold foam at all. The creaminess will be mixed into the flavor profile (not the body) of the soda. And perhaps Coke might have tweaked its strawberry flavor profile just a bit.
All you need to know for now: it’s a limited time only kind of soda, so get it while you can (and let us know what you think); it comes in full and Zero Sugar, and should be available in 12 ounce 12-packs as well as 20 ounce bottles at all major Coca-Cola retailers.
