‘Tis the season to be snacking, fa la la la la, la la la la. This is the refrain that will be playing in my head for the next two months, as I reach into bags of chips, candy, and snack mixes with increasing regularity. And there are a lot of the latter to talk about all of a sudden! Over the past few weeks, festive snack mixes have been coming thick and fast, with both Reese’s and Sam’s Club dropping their own versions.

Now, we’re getting another one from Dot’s – and Sam’s Club shoppers, this one’s for you. Well, for you and for shoppers at other stores. Allow me to explain.
Dot’s Cinnamon Sugar Snack Mix
Dot’s Pretzels has just released its new Cinnamon Sugar Snack Mix, just in time for the ramp-up to the holidays. It takes the cinnamon sugar flavor it perfected in its Cinnamon Sugar Seasoned Pretzel Twists (which we gave a 9/10 in our taste test, so you know we already approve), and mixes things up with a few extra additions. Alongside seasoned mini pretzels, the snack mix also contains kettle corn, chocolatey crisps, and – maybe most excitingly – mini chocolate chip cookies. Much to enjoy for everyone here.
Dot’s Cinnamon Sugar Snack Mix is now available at Sam’s Club, where it costs $9.98 for a 31 oz. bag. If you don’t have a Sam’s Club near you, though, it’s also been spotted at Albertsons and Shaw’s stores, and we’d hope that some other places might get a look-in as the days roll on and the snack mix is rolled out. There’s still so much snacking to be had, folks.
Snacks On Snacks
There’s a nice balance of variability and not-too-much-going-on in Dot’s Cinnamon Sugar Snack Mix – but it’s fair to say that it doesn’t quite have the variety of the other mix you’ll currently find in Sam’s Club. The store’s own Jingle ‘N Mingle Sweet Snack Mix is a busy boy, with two types of shortbread cookies, graham cookies, milk chocolate nonpareils, cereal pieces, pretzels, and candies in every bag.
What there is not, though, is an abundance of cinnamon sugar – nor is there kettle corn, which I’m always delighted to encounter, snack mix or no snack mix. So Dot’s mix might take the edge in terms of individual things I vibe with, while Sam’s Club’s takes the edge in terms of sheer selection. I would gently recommend, though, that you buy both… to make a super snack mix.
