Which holiday would you say has the best seasonal candy? Christmas and Halloween are the two big boys, but I’d argue that Easter is a strong contender. Who doesn’t love jelly beans, hollow, bug-eyed chocolate bunnies, and those little malted milk eggs? Pagan rebirth symbology has never tasted sweeter! And just as you can count on the grocery store’s candy aisle becoming a pastel wonderland the instant Valentine’s Day is over, you can almost always rely on M&M’s to release something special to fill those plastic eggs with.
What Easter M&M’s can we look out for this year? Are they new?
Nope, we’re not getting new Easter M&M’s this year—but a flavor lots of people seem to like is being revamped for 2026’s Easter basket buying bonanza: M&M’s White Chocolate Easter Marshmallow Treat. These first debuted in spring of 2023 as White Chocolate Marshmallow Crispy Treat M&M’s, and were followed up in 2024 by Easter Sunday Sundae M&M’s (which I personally really loved). But that wasn’t the last we saw of them: Just last year, Marshmallow Crispy M&M’s came out as a Target exclusive, which you easily could’ve missed if you’re not a Target shopper.
What are they like? Do they taste good?
Yep, they’re good! Our reviewer Griffin Parker isn’t even a big white chocolate guy and he loved them. In fact, he wrote, “These are so fantastic that I actually had to buy two bags.”
Basically, you get a crispy-crunchy, marshmallow treat-flavored center inside a standard-sized white chocolate M&M (these aren’t Peanut M&M’s-sized, sadly), all in a pastel candy coating. Griffin thought the marshmallow flavor was a little bit cloying, but just enough to slow you down so you don’t down a bagful in one sitting.
Where and when can you find these new Easter M&M’s?
Good Q! According to snack food content creator Markie Devo, these have already been spotted at Drug Mart and will be headed to other retailers soon. They’re currently listed on Walmart’s website, but were only available at one store anywhere near here in SoCal us as yet. Like hardboiled eggs, keep your eyes peeled for these—we will be!
