The 2025 Girl Scouts Cookie season is delivering, y’all. Later this month, we’ll see a Thin Mints-flavored Frosty hit Wendy’s. (And here’s some good news for all those people who get mad in my comments: It isn’t replacing the vanilla Frosty. It’s a syrup that can be mixed into either the base chocolate or vanilla Frosty.) And now, as first revealed by one of my snack-reporting peers earlier this month, we’ve got a new collaboration to look forward to: Girl Scout Cookie-inspired Pop-Tarts.
Yes, we’re getting not one but two Pop-Tart flavors inspired by Girl Scout Cookies. Which cookies did they pick for this great honor? When can we get them? Will we have to pay a coworker’s daughter to bring them to us or can we buy them like every other food? Read on for all the details.
Which Girl Scout Cookies are being turned into Pop-Tarts?
As you might have guessed, they’ve gone with the two most popular Girl Scout Cookies: Thin Mints and Caramel deLites/Samoas. That second cookie’s name is different depending on which baker your local troop sources their cookies from, so the Pop-Tart flavor will just be called “Coconut Caramel.” Fun fact, Girl Scout Cookies in different regions have different names because they’re actually made from different recipes! For example, Caramel deLites are made with milk chocolate while Samoas use dark chocolate].
Where can I find these new Pop-Tarts for myself? And when!?
While we don’t know the exact release date, we know these Pop-Tarts are coming soon. It’d be pretty silly to launch these outside the actual “cookie season,” which starts in late February. Additionally, we’re starting to see product listings pop up on grocery websites for these new flavors. But which grocers, you ask? A “Mega Value” box containing both flavors has already been listed (and unlisted) on Sam’s Club’s website. And it looks like single-flavor boxes will hit mainstream grocers, as well. Since it doesn’t look to be exclusive, we can probably expect these everywhere Pop-Tarts are sold.
Is this the first collab Pop-Tart flavor?
Not even close. Pop-Tarts has launched flavors based on Apple Jacks, Froot Loops, Lyrical Lemonade, Dunkin’ Donuts, Eggo Waffles, and even Pokemon. Pop-Tarts have never been afraid of a licensed deal, no matter which direction the deal goes. Back in 2023, Jeni’s Ice Cream launched a Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop-Tarts flavor. And, just last month, Krispy Kreme launched three Pop-Tart-inspired donut flavors. Hell, Crocs even released unfrosted-Pop-Tarts-colored clogs with edible shoe charms.
