Here’s the Lowdown on Hard Mtn Dew’s Baja Blast Variety Pack

As we previously reported, Mtn Dew is re-releasing Mtn Dew Baja Blast in stores this summer and bringing two new flavors to the party: Mtn Dew Baja Passionfruit Punch and Mtn Dew Baja Caribbean Splash. That’s huge, but what if I told you that there’s even more Baja Blast news? (Cause, well, yeah there is…that’s why you’re here…I think?) With so many non-alcoholic beverage brands going alcoholic—I’m talking Sunny D to Simply—it’s no wonder that Mtn Dew has started ramping up their game. Earlier this year, they released a new hard Mtn Dew inspired by Mtn Dew LiveWire, and now, they’re concocting something extra special: a Hard Mtn Dew Baja Blast variety pack.

Variety pack? I thought there was only one Hard Mtn Dew Baja Blast.

While regular old Mtn Dew Baja Blast is being released in two new flavors this summer, Hard Mtn Dew Baja Blast is getting three: pineapple, mango, and punch. In terms of flavors, it seems like Mtn Dew could be taking cues from past, non-alcoholic Baja Blast lineups. During recent summer seasons, Mtn Dew released Baja Gold, Baja Mango Gem, and Baja Punch (the others are self explanatory, but, yes, Baja Gold was pineapple flavored). Basically, all three “new” flavors in this Hard Mtn Dew variety pack have already been road tested.

The Hard Mtn Dew Baja Blast variety pack will be in stores for a limited time; once summer is over, you probably won’t see these anymore (at least until next year). An official release date hasn’t been announced, but the variety pack has already been spotted in some Ohio stores. In true Hard Mtn Dew fashion, all of the Hard Mtn Dew Baja Blast flavors will be zero sugar. And before you get too excited, make sure that Hard Mtn Dew is sold in your state. Currently, it’s only carried in ten states (Iowa, Tennessee, Florida, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Virginia, Ohio, and Illinois) and the city of Las Vegas. If you’ll be left out of the fun like we will, be sure to sign my petition to bring Hard Mtn Dew to California (just kidding; there’s no petition) or, you know, just enjoy one of the new NA Baja Blast flavors hitting stores this summer.

Navya Hari

Navya Hari is a writer, baker, and utter nuisance who would gladly take the salt out of every recipe and replace it with ten cloves of garlic. When she’s not whipping up some medieval pie, trying to create food from a video game, or covered in flour, you can probably find her asleep in bed dreaming about Indian mangoes.
