Krispy Kreme Just Announced Its New Summer Menu

We do not want for Krispy Kreme news in this house. The doughnut chain has been having a busy start to the summer, with its new Masters of the Universe Collection dropping to usher in the blockbuster’s release, and dual offers in the form of its National Donut Day free donuts and Match Day Dozen. Now, though, it’s getting back to basics – and by basics, we mean food. And by food, we mean new menu items. And by new menu items, we mean that its Summer Seasonal Collection is coming to town.

It’s got more than just doughnuts going on, too. Here’s the lowdown. 

Krispy Kreme Summer Seasonal Collection

Krispy Kreme’s new Summer Seasonal Collection focuses pretty heavily on fruity flavors, with a dessert-inspired doughnut thrown in for good measure. There are four doughnuts in the collection, and they are…

• Original Glazed Strawberry Cake Doughnut: A new one from Krispy Kreme, this doughnut combines one of its Original Glazed old-fashioned cake doughnuts with a strawberry flavor.
• Lemon Bar Doughnut: Oh, now we’re talking! Another new offer, the Lemon Bar flavor is an Original Glazed doughnut covered in white icing and cookie pieces, with a lemon swirl and powdered coating finishing it off.
• Key Lime Pie Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut is filled with a key lime pie créme (or kreme, as Krispy Kreme calls it, as it’s wont to do), dipped in lime green icing, and hit with a dollop of frosting and graham flavored crunch. 
• Cannoli Inspired Doughnut: A spin on the Italian pastry, this one takes an unglazed ring doughnut, dips it in chocolate icing and cookie crunch, and tops it with cannoli-flavored buttercreme and a sweet powdered coating. 

And What About The Drinks?

Well, there are two of them! Krispy Kreme is introducing a Watermelon Infused Lemonade Chiller and a Mango Infused Lemonade Chiller. Both of these start with a base of lemonade, with their respective fruit flavors mixed in. These new flavors join Krispy Kreme’s Frozen Lemonade and Strawberry Chillers. What better way to wash down a fruity doughnut than with a drink that tastes like a different pair of fruits? I can’t think of one!

When Can I Get My Hands On These?

Tomorrow, folks, tomorrow. The Summer Seasonal Collection drops on June 16 in participating locations. As you’d probably expect, though, these doughnuts and new drinks are limited-time only, so grab them while you can.
